Who We Are:
We are one of the premier mining and mineral resources
company with five decades of experience in mineral industry
established a strong foundation and been recognized as a leader in
limestone industry of south India. Our portfolio of mineral assets
includes Krishna mines limestone mining – Operating since 1958 a
rich concentration of high grade ore of Ramayanpatti limestone band,
associated processing plant and Manufacturing units of high quality
limestone and lime powders.
Our purpose is to create a socially responsible mining
culture through sustained, long term efficient and environmentally
sound mining practices. We are determined to maintain our image as
a responsible corporate organization and to contribute fully to the
development of the local community. We achieve this by dedicated
staff imbued with the company’s time tested culture of mining with
integrity and accountability.

Project Identification and Implementation.
We plan our CSR projects in a participatory way by
consulting with the local community, through meetings
arranged with the help of village Panchayats, Government
and Non-Government organizations. We prioritize the basic
needs which are critical for their initial development. We
implement the projects through our dedicated staff
specializing in community developments and all the projects
are structured to be completed within a stipulated period of
time. Periodic updating regarding the status of the projects
and the inspections will be made by the management and the
community leader who is engaged in our consensus. The
feedback meetings from the community people are held
during implementation and after the completion of the
projects. Thus, the contribution to the community and
regional development is achieved through close coordination
there by ensuring mutual development.

We Care:
At Krishna Mines, we value sustainability; it’s about being an
environmentally responsible company. Our approach to sustainability

Environment:
We understand that mining; an essential part of development
can upset the fragile ecological balance of the environment. Our
long-term commitment is to create a sustainable environment where
organizational growth and bio-diversity can co-exist side by side. We
make this happen by “Mining with a Conscience”; it is this ideology
that we at Krishna Mines, stand for as an organization. Respect for the
environment is central to our approach and is the fundamental idea
that influences every operation carried out by Krishna Mines. We
recognize the undeniable fact that efficient and responsible use of
natural resources is vital for the sustainability of our environment. To
reduce the impact of mining on the surrounding environment, we take
advantage of the huge developments made in the field of technology
which has resulted in reduced carbon emissions, better fuel efficiency,
use of eco-friendly materials etc.

Environmental Management
Our afforestation program plants over 10,000 sapling
annually
Our company utilizes a stringent system that ensures that
efficient and effective land management is the norm.
Air Management
Various dust suppression systems such as dry fog, periodical
water sprinkling are implemented to ensure that the atmosphere
is kept as pristine as possible.
We constantly monitor the ambient air quality in house and also
consult recognized departments to keep the environment
healthy.
Community:
Our primary goal here at Krishna mines is to produce local, regional
and global prosperity for the construction of a safer, positive and
greener tomorrow. All our actions are directed towards mining with
respect, dignity and accountability. We are a company that is
environmentally responsible and supports the local communities in
areas where we operate. To minimize any ecological disturbances, we
constantly focus on eliminating energy wastage, improving efficient
use of water and land resources. We continually work with the local
communities to better understand the social, environmental and
ecological implications of our activities so as to optimize existing
benefits and to reduce negative impacts.
We strongly believe that the strength and success of a company is
intimately entwined with the growth of local communities. We at
Krishna Mines have worked with various Panchayats over the years to
make a positive difference for a better tomorrow.
