The „Big Picture‟ was a workshop to showcase talents in spray painting to the art lovers

conducted on 18th September, 2014 in the campus. The volunteers skilled in this particular art

form painted on a flex sheet using wall paint, distemper, strainers and spray cans.

The theme of the painting was based on adapting 3D projection concept in drawing the

universe on the flex sheet placed on the floor, with planets and stars scattered everywhere. The

image appeared as if a rocket comes out breaking the floor and exposing the universe below.

First the outline was done by a few students. Due to the time constraint something more

efficient than a paint brush was needed, hence the artists just dipped their hands in the colours

and started painting the picture. Within a few minutes the number of hands on the picture had

significantly increased. It was not an event where only club members participated, it became an

open event with the audience getting involved too. The painting was thus made by more than

thirty people. It was not just a normal painting; it needed to be viewed from a different

perspective. This is how the BIG PICTURE was done.
