1st September 2018: Janamashtami Celebrations:

Assembly of the month of September had a Madhur (sweet) start with the memories of the lotus eyed, blue coloured boy of Vrindavan. Krishnaashtami was celebrated in the Vidyalaya with a beautiful song, praising little Krishna. Members of the literary club (students of Class IX and X, with guidance from the students of Class XI) came up with a skit with the name of KRISHNA, with each alphabet depicting a divine quality/virtue which can be imbibed by every single person. ‘K for Kinship’- the relation between Krishna and Balarama, ‘R‘ for ‘Righteousness’- the path that he took for the support of the Pandavas, ‘I’ depicting ‘Friendship’- the relation between Sudhama and Sri Krishna, ‘S’ depicting ‘Trust’- the incident between Satrajit and Krishna, regarding the Samantaka Mani, ‘H’ depicting ‘Faith’- the faith of Meerabai on Lord Krishna, ‘N’ depicting ‘Divinity’ where only Yashoda maiyya was able to see the entire universe in the mouth of Divine Krishna, and finally ‘A’ depicting ‘Courage’ where Lord Krishna shows immense courage while fighting with Kaliya. Class XI children of the literary club planned the activity, while class IX and X students enacted it.

September 4th 2018- September 7th 2018- Sanskrit Saptaha:

Shravana Pournima day is celebrated as Hayagriva Jayanthi. The day when lord Vishnu in the form of a horse, retrieved the stolen Vedas from the demons is known as Hayagriva Jayanthi. This day is also known as Sanskrit Diwas. In our Vidyalaya, we have celebrated the week starting from 4th September as Sanskrit week (Hayagriva Jayanthi/Sravana Pournima being on 26th August 2018).

Sanskrit , being the mother of all languages, and also supposedly the language of the Gods, is highly respected in our motherland. This kind of celebration is one of a kind, and we are glad to have a group of students being ably guided by their teachers, spreading the wings of this language far and wide.

of simple sentences in that language. Chi.Tanmayee and Chi.Sruti cheoreographed a dance for

the song of “Sarala Bhasha Sanskrutam”. There was also a conversation by a group of students

in Sanskrit language.
