Arrive into Kyiv – the capital of Ukraine! After a transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city, you will be taken out to a traditional Kyiv Style Dinner at one of the best restaurants in the city.

Day 2 | Thursday, September 17: Kyiv (B/L/-)

To introduce you to the city, we’ll take you on a city tour – you’ll visit

Independence Square, better now known as Maidan, a place which

After the workshop, you’ll have free evening to walk around the ancient streets of Kyiv! Your tour guide will

take you to a restaurant for dinner.

Day 3 | Friday, September 18: Kyiv (B/-/D)

Today, visit the famous Kyiv Pechersk Lavra – an

Orthodox Christian pilgrimage destination. Founded

more than a thousand years ago and set in the hills

above the Dnipro River, this monastery astonishes

tourists with its gold-domed churches, ancient icons

and underground labyrinths lined with mummified

monks!

Next, you will have an unforgettable painting workshop

in the art studio located on the monastery grounds. Enjoy painting on the terrace of the studio overlooking a

spectacular view of the Dnieper River. The art instructor will guide you through the process of creating your own

piece from beginning to the end. You will also be treated to some snacks and beverages.

After the workshop we will take you to the hotel.

Spare time until the Zabava, featuring a live music performance from a folk band promoting and preserving

authentic Central Ukrainian singing.

Day 4 |Saturday, September 19: Kyiv (B/L/-)

After breakfast, you’ll visit an Art Gallery that houses famous works and paintings of Ukrainian artists.

There you will meet with the director of the gallery, who will get you acquainted with the exhibitions, and with a

famous Kyiv artist, who will present her works to you.

You will have the chance to buy some paintings.

Once we are done – the host will point you to a traditional Ukrainian

restaurant for lunch.

Next – shopping at Andrijуvsky Uzviz (Descent) – this street is home

to the city’s artisans, craftsmen and vendors. While walking down, we

invite you to visit several art galleries located along the street and do

some shopping there as well - find items from original artwork,

souvenir trinkets, authentic costumes, and memorabilia.

In the evening we will drive you to the train station to catch the

overnight train to Chernivtsi.

Day 5| Sunday, September 20: Chernivtsi (B/L/-)

Once we arrive in Chernivtsi in the morning, we will check into our hotel. Then take some free time to

freshen up and have breakfast. Later on, you can enjoy a guided city tour – you’ll have a chance to learn about Chernivtsi’s fascinating

multicultural history, and visit the most beautiful and notable sights the city has to offer.

One of the must-visit places is the local Hogwarts-like Chernivtsi

National University. This architectural ensemble of the main campus

and the Residence of Bukovynian and Dalmatian Metropolitans are

included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tonight, enjoy a free evening to walk the narrow cobblestone streets,

and explore the city on your own. Take some time to soak everything

in with your eyes, with your camera or with your sketchbook!

Day 6 | Monday, September 21: Chernivtsi – Borivtsi – Chernivtsi (B/-/D)

In the morning, we’ll drive to the village of Borivtsi, which is the family village of renown Canadian-Ukrainian,

artist William Kurelek. Here, we will go to the village council and talk to locals in order to get to know more about

Vasyl (William).

Bring your art supplies with you today, as you will take inspiration

from the romantic village setting for an outdoor painting

workshop conducted by Larisa.

PLEASE NOTE: Lunch is NOT included this day. Your Tour Leader will

take you shopping for some snacks and sandwiches to take with you.

In the evening, get ready for a Show by the incredibly talented and

famous Folk Ensemble - Gerdan. Their arrangements of well–

known and ancient Ukrainian songs will amaze you!

Day 7 | Tuesday, September 22: Chernivtsi – Kolomyya (B/L/-) Travel to the center of the Pokuttya region, and the homeof the

world’s biggest Easter Egg, or Pysanka!

Arriving to Kolomyya, we will treat you to lunch. Then, we will visit

the world’s only Pysanka Museum, where you will admire a

fantastic collection of Easter eggs, and meet with local artists, whose

pysanky are represented in the collection. You will have a Pysanka

writing workshop, where the craftsmen will share their skills and

reveal some secrets of craft! Afterwards, we travel straight to the Carpathian Mountains, to the

city of Kosiv.

Day 8 | Wednesday, September 23: Carpathian Mountains (B/L/-) Enjoy a sunny morning in the Carpathian Mountains, absorbing the

freshness of the air and the beauty of the landscapes!

The first stop in the itinerary will be the famous Kosiv Arts College

- meet with artisans who draw religious icons. Learn from the best

teachers of the college and get to know the fascinating techniques.

We break for lunch, and then visit a woodcarver’s family to see

their works, get to know their craft, and then learn how to carve a

traditional Hutsul Style cross pendant. You will also have the

opportunity to buy some souvenirs.

Once we arrive back in the hotel, enjoy your evening relaxing in the

sauna or swimming pool.

Day 9 | Thursday, September 24: Carpathian Mountains (B/L/-)

Today we have prepared something absolutely unique – early in the morning we will travel to Kosiv to spend

time at the Crafts Market.

Next stop – the village of Bukovets. It is located higher up in the

mountains, where the locals have preserved and continue to

preserve the traditions of their ancestors up until present day! On

the way, your guide will tell you some exciting stories and legends

about this area to make you fall in love with the Carpathians!

You will be cordially invited for lunch with a local Hutsul family!

Learn traditional songs; try rich and natural home-made Hutsul

food. Then meet with a local priest, who’ll open you the ancient

wooden church and tell you more about its history.

Day 10 | Friday, September 25: Carpathian Mountains (B/L/-)

In the morning, we’ll take a trip to the village of Yavoriv, famous for its unique lizhnyky – woolen blankets. You’ll

learn why only women make them, and how through the centuries this tradition has been preserved. You will

even be able to try making some. At the end of the workshop, do not

hesitate to buy one of these masterpieces for yourself or your

friends.

Next, we’ll drive to Kryvorivnya, where you’ll visit an ancient

wooden Hutsul church and Hutsul house-museum (Hutsul

Grazhda).

Afterwards, we will visit a private ethno gallery in the village of

Babyn, housing traditional costumes from different regions of

Hutsulshchyna – try them on, take lots of pictures and feel as

though you have stepped back in time!

Day 11 | Saturday, September 26: Lviv (B/L/-)

Today we leave the picturesque mountains and head to Lviv, a quaint city known as the ‘Paris of Ukraine’.

As soon as we arrive, we will check you in at your hotel. After, we’ll take you on a brief city orientation.

We suggest you discover the works of up-and-coming, emerging, and established Ukrainian artists at Lviv's best

art galleries. Lviv boasts a variety of venues to view original artwork by most interesting local and international

artists – we suggest visiting the Lviv National Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Madam Palmgren, ICONART Gallery, ‘Dzyga’

Art Center, ‘Green Sofa’ Contemporary Art gallery and many more!

Day 12 | Sunday, September 27: Lviv (B/L/-)

To claim that Lviv “is a one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine” is not an overstatement. Mysterious, and

architecturally lovely, this UNESCO–listed city will definitely make you fall in love with its beauty and charm!

Today we’ll take you on a unique train city tour and later a walking city tour, to acquaint you with the rich

culture and history of the city, followed by lunch in one of our favorite local restaurants.

Visit the National Museum in Lviv, which is one of the most prominent treasures of national culture and art

monuments in Ukraine. It was founded in 1905 by Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. The museum contains

masterpieces of such famous artists as Pinzel, Poleyovsky, Filevych and others. There is also a very valuable

selection of Ukrainian folk and fine art engravings of the XVII-XVIIІ centuries. The pride of the museum's

collection is a set of Taras Shevchenko's original works.

Afterwards, we suggest visiting the local souvenir market, where your tour guide will take you to some art stores

to buy some art supplies! After that, spend some time to stock up on souvenirs - embroidered shirts, handcrafted

souvenirs,accessories and much more!

Day 13 | Monday, September 28: Lviv (B/-/D)

On this day, we'll take you on a bus adventure, where you'll see the

tourist attractions of Lviv located beyond the realm of the city center!

We will then visit the ethno gallery of Roksolyana Shymchuk, a

designer of unique jewelry in the Ukrainian ethnic style, a doll maker, a

collector of authentic old Ukrainian clothes, and owner of the Ethno –

gallery. Her works are presented in private collections around the

world.

After some free time for lunch, you’ll have another art workshop with a

local artist (the workshop is organized by Larisa), t.b.c.

We will sum up this interesting day with a Zabava – a traditional Ukrainian style party with delicious food and

a local folk band!

Day 14 | Tuesday, September 29 Lviv (B/-/-)

We will transfer you to the airport where, sadly, it’s time to go back home or continue on to new and exciting

destinations.
