As a native to Eureka Springs I have always loved this community and
region for a long list of reasons that continues to grow with new discoveries
every day. It is always a pleasure to welcome visitors and share this area so
that you too will find that special part that draws you back here time & again.
Selected as one of America’s “Dozen Distinctive Destinations” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation,

Christ of the Ozarks
Located on top of Magnetic Mountain on the grounds of the Great Passion Play,
the Christ of the Ozarks statue overlooks Eureka Springs and can be seen from many
locations throughout the city.
Dedicated in 1966 it is the largest statue of Jesus in North America and the third largest in
the world. It stands at a height of 67 feet tall and is 65 feet wide.
The Great Passion Play tells the story of Christ’s final days on earth and is set in a
valley adjacent to the statue with an amphitheater that can seat up to 4,000 people. Performances are held May through October. Over 7 million people have experienced the
Passion Play and the Christ of the Ozarks statue in the past 50+ years.
Riders visiting the grounds can also experience the bible museum, sacred arts center and see a section of the Berlin Wall.

Beavertown Bridge
A favorite site among riders, the one lane sus-pension bridge is located at Beaver, Arkansas
just north of Eureka Springs on Hwy 187.
Constructed in 1949 to span the upper portion of Table Rock Lake which is part of the White River system, today it is the only
suspension bridge in Arkansas that is open to traffic and was placed on the National
Register of Historic Places in 1990.
Riders love to stop on the west side of the bridge in the town of Beaver for a great photo
with friends and this historic structure stretching 550 feet long making an impressive
backdrop to commemorate their journey across this 68 year old landmark.
The bridge serves the town of Beaver as the only connection point north of Eureka Springs
for state Hwy 23 and US Hwy 62. The small community is only about a ½ mile square
in size and averages about 100 permanent residents.

Located in Northwest Arkansas, Eureka Springs has always been a tourist destination. Long before it was a town, the Native American’s used the springs and land as a healing and gathering place for their tribes. Those stories traveled and soon the town was flooded with folks wanting to be healed by the springs!
Today those springs offer a beautiful back-drop to the towns winding lanes. Shopping is fun in this town that hosts independent shops offering wonderful gifts, home items, and art both locally made and interna-tionally known. Dining is world class with something for everyone to delight in. From catfish to filet mignon there is an experience waiting for your next meal. Dancing the night away at a number of venues and take your sweetie for a spin, or stop in and listen to some original folk music being sung on a balcony or in a cafe. Being bored isn’t an option in Eureka Springs!
Located in Northwest Arkansas,
13eurekasprings.org
There is also plenty of time to relax and renew! The town that was built on healing has a lot to offer guests who are looking for rest and relaxation. Treat your-self to a relaxing day at the spa after a long ride through the Ozarks.
Hiking, fishing, canoeing, and mountain biking are available throughout the area. Hosting two lakes, Beaver Lake and Ta-blerock Lake, the area is ready for you to catch the next big one! Meandering on the river is another way to explore the Ozarks. The White River and the Kings River both offer exciting options for the river rat! De-pending on the season you might just spot an eagle or two! If mountain biking is more your speed you can ride right through town to Lake Leatherwood and explore the trails built just for you.
Anyway you look at it, Eureka Springs offers so much to do you’ll be planning your next vacation back before you even leave!

Beaver Lake & Dam
Constructed in the early 1960’s the dam spans the White River and creates the Beaver Lake
reservoir. The lake serves as a huge recreational venue for divers, boaters, campers and fishing but also provides the water source for most of Northwest Arkansas communities. The dam
towers over the tail waters below and is anchored in the limestone bluffs along one side and is a
source for hydroelectric power. The south side offers a great vantage point for a scenic
overlook and photo opportunity.

Enjoy Eureka Springs all year as well!
The experience of traveling the winding roads and catching majestic
views throughout the Ozarks is not just for the motorcyclist. Many car
enthusiasts seek out and enjoy these adventures as well.

Eureka Springs and the region host many large car shows throughout the year
but there are lots of smaller clubs and social groups that build historic memories with their friends in this
unique Victorian village.
The curves, the climbs, the drops are all something to be discussed back in town over dinner at a great restaurant,
over drinks at a local tavern or the hospitality room at your lodging venue.
Eureka Springs is known for hosting special event shows that started out small
and have been running for decades. There is something always going on throughout the year and even if your
event isn’t happening then someone in our town will help you get it started on
it’s way to becoming an annual gathering. The longest running car show in
Arkansas is the Eureka Springs Antique Auto show in its 48th year. Over 250
antique vehicles gather for this annual event at on the grounds of the
Great Passion Play.
29eurekasprings.org
The Eureka Springs VW Festival, Swap Meet & Tourcade is in its 26th year
and draws hundreds of VW’s from all across the country. You’ll experience
all models of VW’s from old hippie vans held in pristine condition to bugs, dune buggys and every kind of VW ever made.
It’s a great 3 days hosted by 2 clubs with a parade winding through our
historic downtown.
There are a host of smaller events throughout the year such as charity runs
or mini shows that may be happening on the weekend you are visiting. Joining
these rides is a great way to “run with some locals” and visit some of the
favorite spots around the region during the event. Many of these can be found on Pig Trail Harley Davidson’s website.

33eurekasprings.org
The Pig Trail Scenic Byway
Famous for many reasons the Pig Trail has become a coveted conquest for riders and the “must do”
ride for that annual trip or first timers wanting the experience. Eureka Springs sits at the top of the Pig Trail and serves as the starting and stopping point
for these excursions.
The heart of the ride lies along a 19 mile stretch of Hwy 23 between Hwy 16 to where it meets inter-
state 40. Here you will experience twists and turns as they climb and descend the mountains of the Ozark National Forest. This run is designated as
the Pig trail Scenic Byway.
The history of the trail covers part folklore, part ritual and part historical significance. Serving as path for explorers, trappers and Indians early on it served as a road during the Civil War for both
Union & Confederate troops. It gained its popular name from the fans using the Pig Trail as a short-cut on their way to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to watch the Razorbacks (also called
Hogs) play games. Today, it remains a tradition by students and alumni to take the Pig Trail on the
way to “Call the Hogs!”.
34 rideeurekasprings.com
In 2 national surveys over the past couple of years, the Pig Trail
has been voted one of the best rides in the country by riders.
In 2 national surveys over the
This is a challenging ride and not for the novice. Often it’s hard to stay focused with the breathtaking views at the pinnacles or the feeling of riding on the
edge of the canopy covered road as it follows the contour of the mountains. These are just a few of the reasons that have made this the #1 riding
route in Arkansas.
There are several roads that can take you from Hwy 23 to other roads to create great loop routes
for your day trips bringing you back to Eureka Springs filled with everlasting memories.
Often times at night, laughter and stories can be overheard being shared at the restaurants &
entertainment venues throughout town about the various experiences riders encountered on their
days journey. It stokes the desire for the rider to keep coming back!
