Los ciclos de ‘La Aristocracia del Flamenco’ reflejan fiel-mente el compromiso de Tablao Cordobés con la búsque-da permanente de la excelencia, excelencia entendida desde distintos valores sin los cuales la magia del duende que aporta la inspiración, es imposible. Primero el espa-cio, reducido, no más de 170 personas. Segundo, el soni-do natural que respeta los planos auditivos de los zapa-teados, de la guitarra y de la voz, y que tiene en cuenta la teoría de que el sonido es a la música, lo que el alma al espíritu. Un buen sonido flamenco no admite artificios ni amplificación. Tercero, la disposición del público alrede-dor del escenario, en forma de reunión de cabales o fami-liar.

El lenguaje íntimo del flamenco, es decir su esencia, nece-sita estos requisitos para expresarse en toda su verdad.

Durante 42 años, Tablao Cordobés ha reunido en una com-binación equilibrada a las figuras históricas y a las prome-sas artísticas hechas realidad, con el descubrimiento de los más jóvenes.

Otra característica de nuestros espectáculos es su aspec-to coral. Se suman en uno varios talentos estimulando la inspiración a través de la diversidad y del reto estimulante entre ellos. Otro rasgo característico de nuestro espectá-culo es haber impreso una estética teatral y una disciplina escenográfica como marco para el lenguaje más profundo del flamenco. Y para rematarlo, la selección de las mejores voces y las mejores guitarras dentro de un espectáculo en el que todos terminan siendo solistas.

En esta edición que terminará a principios del año que vie-ne, pero que en Tablao Cordobés no termina nunca, junta-mos a la élite del flamenco en espectáculos que quedarán para la historia.

Pastora Galván Antonio “El Farru”The youngest of the saga of the Galván family; with her brother Is-rael already an established artist who has entered flamenco contem-porary dance, Pastora remains on the threshold of traditional flamen-co but has not relinquished the mo-dernity of her generation. You can only really be innovative when com-ing from the roots and the deep un-derstanding of authenticity and ori-gins. Therefore, with Pastora, who appears as an old Gypsy who as a young avant-garde is a continuous surprise. Pastora is already a prom-inent figure in her generation. Her presence is unwavered each year in the Seville Biennial, or any other relevant flamenco event. Currently she is a featured artist of the Ballet of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, and a few days ago, she appeared on TV1 news performing at the Festival de Cantes (Singing Festival) by the Minas de La Unión.

Member of the aristocratic flamenco dy-nasty Los Farruco, grandson of Farruco, and brother of Farruquito and of El Carpeta, is a compendium of elegance, art, and ancient wisdom, as is the case with all members of this extraordinary family. Ac-companying his grandfather and his brother, as a child he stepped in every theater in the world. In February 2006, he created his show Farruco, then the show “The Natural”, in which he wrote the cho-reography and music. In the 2008/2009 show “The Farruco” he traveled halfway around the world garnering extraordinary reviews in the press such as “prestigious” in the New York Times. He performed in theaters and landmarks such as the City Center in New York, or London Sadler’s Wells. He is such a versatile performer that he has successfully toured with art-ists such as Beyonce, Marc Anthony and Paulina Rubio. He has also been a pro-fessor at the Academy of FAME TV chan-nel Tele 5, accompanied our legendary Paco de Lucia in his last world tour, and in 2010 obtained the prize for best dancer of the Year... his future is unstoppable.

The Cycles of ‘The Aristocracy of Flamenco’ faith-fully reflect the commitment of Tablao Cordobés with the ongoing search for excellence, excellence understood from different values, without which the magical charisma that contributes to the inspi-ration, is impossible. First, the space is small, no more than 170 people. Second, the natural sound that respects the audio levels of the footwork, gui-tar and voice which takes into account the theory that the sound is to music what the soul is to the spirit; and does not support technical devices or amplification. Third, the public around the stage, which is reminiscent to a family meeting or gathering.

The intimate language of flamenco, in other words its essence; needs these requirements to fully express the absolute truth.

For 42 years, Tablao Cordobes has united a balanced mix of historical figures and the development of artistic promises with the consistent discovery of its’ youngest artists.

One of the features of our shows is the principal of joining into one several talents that stimulate inspiration through diversity. Another characteristic is the formation of a frame-work that brings together the theatrical aesthetic and scenic discipline that allows for a deeper language of flamenco to be performed; and to top it; the selection of the best voices and best guitars in a show in which everyone ends up being soloists.

In this edition, which will end later this year; but in Tablao Cordobés never ends, we join together the elite in shows that will become part of history.

This dancer has won some of the most prestigious dance competitions, such as the International Competition of Minas in 2008 “The Desplante”, the National Contest of Córdoba in 2007 “Solea”, and was named best dancer in the Spanish Dance and Fla-menco Contest in Madrid on two ocasions. He has performed as a guest or as a soloist in the companies of Manuela Carrasco, The Güito, Tomatito, Enrique Morente, Gerardo Núñez, Enrique de Melchor, among others. He has also written several shows including “Camino Flamenco” (The Flamenco Path), “Grito” (Scream) and “En Candela” (On Fire). Currently he is participating as a guest artist with Tomatito, Niño Josele and Montse Cortés and collaborates as a guest artist in the show by Gerardo Nuñez called “Made in Jerez”, Jerez Festival 2012.

Fuensanta La Moneta atesora entre sus virtu-des artísticas, un profundo dramatismo ex-presivo, un exacto dominio del “compás”, una enorme variedad de registros, un amplio conocimiento del cante y un talento innato que le permite hacer su baile –incluso lo más difícil–, con la facilidad de la que respira un arte ancestral y aunque sus planteamientos son muy actuales su baile parece tan viejo como el flamenco que circula por sus venas.En 2003 ganó el Premio “El Desplante” del Concurso Nacional de Baile del Festival de Cante de las Minas de La Unión. En 2008 le otorgaron el Primer Galardón “Artista Joven” del Festival Flamenco de Torrelodones (Ma-drid). En 2010 la Asociación de Periodistas Especializados en flamenco de España le otorga el “Premio Flamenco Hoy, a la Mejor Bailaora”. En 2011 la Peña Flamenca El Ta-ranto de Almería, le otorga el Premio El Ta-ranto al mejor espectáculo Flamenco del año en Almería.

The flamenco club, La peña de la Plateria is where she began dancing at 8 years of age, participating in important festivals in her city, which helped sharpen her education. In 2004, she entered the Flamenco Study Centre run by Mario Maya and a year later she was in-cluded in the Centre’s show “Dialogo del Am-argo” (Dialogue of Bitterness). That same year she won the flamenco contest in the town of Ubrique (2005).In 2007, she won the “The Desplante” award at the Festival of “Cante de las Minas”, from which her international career began, partici-pating in various international festivals. In 2009, she returned to take part with the com-pany that made the Mario Maya tribute, tour-ing theaters and festivals in Spain. In 2010, she worked as a soloist in the show by Carlos Saura, “Flamenco Hoy” (Flamenco Today). Currently she is a soloist in the Andalusia Bal-let Company.

In 1998, he won the Cup Award Pavón as guest artist for Pepe Habichuela at the Salz-burg Festival. That same year he participated as a guest artist in the show ‘Raíces’ (Roots) by Antonio Canales and Recorded the pro-grams ‘Algo más que Flamenco’ (More than flamenco) and ‘Tirititrán’ for La2 of TVE. He also performs as a guest artist in the show ‘Al Son Cinco’ (The Five) with Lola Greco, Rafael Amargo, Maria Vivo, and José Serrano. He also stars in the show ‘Flamenco Al Andalus’ in Buenos Aires and Frankfurt.In 2000, he won the prize for Best Dancer in the Choreography Competition of the Albéniz Theatre in Madrid, and he received a grant from the Autor Foundation from the Alicia Alonso Department of Classical Ballet, with whom he danced as a guest artist in the Young Ballet Community of Madrid.

The Tablao Cordobes Foundation is the leading supporter of the creation of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of Flamenco. The Academy brings together the most representative sectors from the flamenco guide, Arte Jondo. The first two meet-ings were held in Madrid and Seville on the 19th and 26th of July respectively. The first took place in the Palacio Cibeles Centro Centro and the second in the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Seville. These meetings have had the support of the Sec-retary for the Ministry of Culture and the Institute for Gypsy Culture. The third meeting was held in Barcelona the 17th of September.
