What You Need3 eggs2 c shredded zucchini1 c vegetable oil (can use 1/2 coconut oil melted & 1/2 veg. oil)1 can crushed pineapple, 8 oz, drained2 tsp vanilla extract3 c ßour1 3/4 c sugar2 tsp baking soda1 1/2 tsp cinnamon1 tsp salt1/2 tsp baking powder1 c chopped nuts (macadamia or pecan)1/2 c dried cranberries1/2 c coconut (opt)

Pineapple Cranberry Zucchini Bread

Directions¥ Preheat oven to 350 degrees. ¥ In a large bowl, combine eggs, zucchini, oil, pineapple and vanilla extract.¥ In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients. ¥ Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. ¥ Fold in nuts, cranberries and coconut (if desired).¥ Pour into 2 greased 8x4Ó loaf pans or 3 small loaf pans.¥ Bake larger pans for approx. 50-55 mins and smaller pans for 35-40 mins or until golden brown and inserted toothpick comes out clean. ¥ Cool for 10 mins before removing bread from pans onto wire racks.

VARSITY FOOTBALL TICKET SALES (ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES)

Season ticket holders will be given first consideration for reserve seat tickets during the week of the game on Wednesday for both home and away games to be purchased on a “first come – first served” basis. Each holder may purchase no more than the exact number of season tickets held. (The number of seats available from week to week and during playoffs may cause the limit to be changed.) The general public may purchase reserved seat tickets during the week of the game on Thursday for both home and away games on a “first come – first served” basis. (The number of seats available from week to week and during playoffs will determine the limit.) For all games played on Friday, there will be no tickets sold on Monday or Tuesday of any game and La Feria High School Athletic Department will not accept any telephone orders for tickets. Ticket sales will close at 12:00 p.m. on Friday for away games only. All reserved tickets will be sold at the La Feria High School Athletic Department located at 901 North Canal Street, La Feria, Texas. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Town of Combes will receive sealed bids for the Fire Hydrant Replacement Project being implemented under the Texas Department of Agriculture TxCDBG Contract No. 713091 until 10:00 A. M. on August 20, 2015, at the Combes Town Hall located at 21626 Hand Road, Combes, Texas,78535, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Fire Hydrant Installations 12 Each Bid/Contract Documents, including drawings and technical Specifications are on file at the office of the project engineer, R. E. Garcia and Associates, 116 N. 12th Street, Edinburg, Texas 78541. Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 for each set. Adherence to the Grant Recipient’s Section 3 policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. The Town of Combes reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Town of Combes for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation of bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
