We are so lucky to be Catholic! While others are putting Christmas away for another year, we are keep rejoicing Je-sus’ presence with the celebration of Epiphany. The Magi represent God’s universal love and the gift of his son for everyone, not just the children of Israel.
This weekend we start back with our Religious Education programs. The students preparing for First Communion are eager to continue their journey on Sunday mornings be-tween the two Masses. They enjoy their time with their teachers as they learn through book-work, games, and crafts. They also learn from you, the community of St. Pe-ter, as they see how you love the Lord and cherish his pres-ence in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
The Confirmandi also resume their classes, delving deeper into understanding the sacraments and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The teens gather each Saturday afternoon to pray together, learn about saints, and grow in their Catholic iden-tity. They also attend Mass together following class.
The RCIA group is a wonderful mix of teens and adults seeking baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirma-tion. They have had a series of guest speakers who present aspects of our Catholic faith. Parishioners have joined us on the journey to Easter and shared the richness of their faith, becoming models for our beginners.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Epipha-ny, where the Magi find the newborn king and offer him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. In the spirit of the Magi, please put your gift in the St. Vin-cent de Paul Poor Box so that comfort and peace can once again be given to a newborn child.
