What Is IWP?What Is IWP?

• It is a web-based software tool that ensures:– Hazards are identified and appropriate

engineering controls are in place,– The required administrative controls (both

corporate and line) are followed,– The people performing the work are trained to do

so,– A mechanism exists to formally authorize work,– The process is scalable based on risk.

Physically, it’s an electronic lab notebook that helps organize & incorporate ES&H into mission work.
