a. Age unknown lighting products manufactured by the company ABC normal
distribution, with average 800 hours and a standard deviation of 40 hours.
Calculate the odds 16 samples taken at random will have an average age of less
than 775 hours of product.
b. Traveling between two campuses of a university in a city via shuttle bus takes,on
average, 28 minutes with a standard deviation of 5 minutes. In a given week, a bus
transported passengers 40 times. What is the probability that the average transport
time was more than 30 minutes? Assume the mean time is measured to the nearest
minute.
c. Division of quality control machine tools factory noted that 1.5% of the bearing is
defective. If the delivery of a box consists of 100 bearing products, determine the
probability of the number of defective bearing as much as 2% or more!
