WEEK 7 TERM 4 29th November 2019
Dear Parents & Caregivers, I cannot believe it is Term 4 Week 7, where has the year gone! It has been another busy week in and around Lake Cargelligo Central School. Although, we are coming to the end of another school year (and decade!) there is still many learning opportunities for students. This week some of our students continued to learn safe swimming practices at the local pool. This is a great opportunity for students to learn to swim and consolidate their skills in preparation for the summer months. Some of our Year 10 students continued with their work experience in and around the town. From all reports the students who have been completing this have thoroughly enjoyed their experience. We are extremely appreciative of all the businesses that have taken the time to mentor our students. We have started to rebrand some of our letters/newsletters and other materials. A part of that is to see if we would like to restructure our PBL logo to include the current theme of the lake, but also to make recognition of the Aboriginal symbolism of a meeting place. If you would like a say on the logo, you can simply rip this page off and circle which PBL logo you prefer. Simply drop your vote into the office by next Friday. We look forward to your feedback.

Principal Message
You will be receiving a letter about presentation evening. We have changed the venue to our school hall as a trial this year. This is to utilise our audio visual equipment and, I know well from being a part of the local Drama Club, that it will be much more comfortable on a hot evening with our air conditioning. It is important we know if your child will be attending as we acknowledge that our hall is much smaller than the Memorial Hall. As the letter states we will want feedback after the event, and if it doesn’t work, we will re-evaluate it for future years. However, I always say you have to try it before knocking it! Next week I am hoping to finally confirm all staffing for next year and be able to announce the new names of our classes and which teachers will be leading those classes. Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to another productive week.
Yours in Education Mr Allan Johnston Principal
Cody and Tommi
