    #1 Take a Ride in a 1941 Gar Wood

    Four lucky individuals will join Nancy and Wes Cunningham for a champagne luncheoncruise to Emerald Bay on a beautiful sunny day this summer. You'll board theCunningham's 1941 Gar Wood Deluxe Runabout, Santanta, for a cruise along the WestShore, past Meeks Bay and Rubicon, through the strait into Emerald Bay for a gorgeousview of one of Lake Tahoe's most outstanding natural coves. You'll balancechampagne and tasty lunch treats on one hand with your camera in the other forspectacular photos. Their beautiful 20-foot Gar Wood will be appearing in the August

    Concourse d'Elegance where Gar Wood "woodies" will be the Marque Class. Your dayon Santanta will begin at Obexers Marina where she is berthed and will last about threehours. The date will be mutually agreed upon by donors and guests, with weatherpermitting.

    Skiing alongside Olympian and world champion Tamara McKinney, the first Americanwoman to win the overall World Cup Title and holder of 18 individual World Cup winsand 10 national championship titles, may sound a little daunting. But don't beintimidated. Tahoe's own Tamara is yours for the day. She will take five lucky donorsskiing throughout Squaw Valley for an adventure others can only dream of.     Ten fortunate guests will enjoy a 20-mile out-and-back leisurely bike ride along BocaReservoir up to Stampede followed by more fun with sand beach volleyball, bocce balland a casual outdoor barbecue at the Simon property in Truckee. For those enthusiastsdesiring an added aerobic work-out (deserving of extra beer), there's an optional twomile climb up Hirschdale Road. (9% grade). Then, guests will shower and freshen up atthe Simon's for cocktails and dinner. This will be a day of fun and exercise completewith fine wines and dining. Bring your own bike!

    #4 Fourth of July Up on the Ridge

    There's no better view of the Fourth of July fireworks over Donner Lake than from theMarnitz' deck on Skislope Way! Twenty lucky guests will start the fun evening withcocktails and fine wines, including a selection from Truckee River Winery (Best Man,anyone?), while meeting new friends. Then you'll nosh on a scrumptious barbecuedinner flown in specially from Houston, Texas from Goode Company Barbecue --barbecue so delectable it was served at the White House! Afterwards, you'll stake yourclaims on the comfy deck furniture around the fire pit (or hot tub, if you prefer) to watchthe spectacular fireworks show.     Breathtaking views of the east slope looking toward Mt. Rose, Squaw Valley and theriver corridor as well as the beautiful natural scenery of Jackass Ridge Ranch are yoursas you snowshoe along Jackass Ridge with five other guests. After you work up anappetite, a gourmet lunch will be served on the trail.     #7 Snowshed Hike with Beach Lunch

    Bring your flashlights and jackets and hike the original route of the CentralPacific Railroad over Donner Pass with an historical overview provided by Tomand Pam Hobday as your guides. Considered the most daunting stretch of theconstruction of the transcontinental railroad in 1868, it was also one of the mostdifficult engineering projects of its day. Your hike will begin on the summit atRainbow Bridge with a moderately difficult 5.8 mile journey to Cold StreamCanyon. The first two miles are in the tunnels or snowsheds, and the route isdownhill except for a short stretch with a 200-foot vertical rise. After yourexhilarating hike, you and the other guests will gather at the beach at the west

    end of Donner Lake for lunch and libations. Bring your suits in your backpack fora relaxing swim!

    #10 A Marriage of Food and Wine

    If you've ever wondered why wines taste the way they do or how wines affect and areaffected by the taste of food, you won't want to miss this wine seminar and dinner. Onthe deck of the Grossman/Lewicki Estate, wines will be discussed by their chemicalcompositions, grape characteristics and flavoring components. Then guests will moveto the dining room where wines will be paired with a simple pasta which will then be builtthrough several layers of complexity by adding various sauces (cheese, mushroom,tomato, and lamb).
