I want to once again take the time to thank each and every family member and friends for your continued support at Lakeview Terrace. I want to talk for a minute about the number one question I get asked as Administrator. What make your assisted living a better choice than at home? I want to put emphasis on our social programs this month. We take great pride in having our residents help create the monthly social calendar. Some of these programs will have a need for transportation and some will be held right in our own dining area. These programs are set for most any resident to attend and if more help is needed, the community’s staff will assist and/ or escort your loved one so they can attend. As always you are welcome to join us at anytime. As we plan events we always keep the cost in mind and we find that most places are gracious and willing to help a senior out in any way they can. If you have ideas for outings that you think our residents might enjoy, or an entertainer that we would love to hear, we want your ideas. To answer the question, it is friendships that are formed and good company full of talk and laughter that is one big part of “why choose to go into an Assisted Living Community”. Please contact our community directly if you want a social calendar sent to you or look us up on our web page for the most current social events. We hope to see our current residents as well as any new potential residents at our upcoming events. It has been called a moveable feast because it doesn’t fall on a set date every year, as most holidays do. Instead, Christian churches in the West celebrate Easter on the first Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox on March 21st. Therefore, Easter is observed anywhere between March 22nd and April 25th every year. Orthodox Christians use the Julian calendar to calculate when Easter will occur and typically celebrate the holiday a week or two after the Western churches, which follow the Gregorian calendar.
