Weinland Park Community Civic Association Land-Use and Business Development Committee Summary of Meeting of July 8, 2015 Joyce Hughes, committee chair, called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. at Godman Guild Association. Those in attendance introduced themselves. Ms. Hughes introduced Bruce Black who manages the city’s Neighborhood Pride program. He explained the Pride Partners program that seeks support from local businesses and vendors for Neighborhood Pride. September 14-18 will be Neighborhood Pride in the Weinland Park and Milo-Grogan neighborhoods. The day-to-day operations center will be the Martin Janis Center on East 11 th Avenue. Mr. Black gave his cell phone number, (614) 266-1221, for persons who have questions or suggestions about Neighborhood Pride. Steve Sterrett reported that the Weinland Park Community Civic Association will be preparing 150 welcome packets later this month for distribution in August and September to new residents of Weinland Park. He asked that business owners let him know that day if they would like to include information in the welcome packets. Corey Greenblat of Ohio State University Extension presented a list of businesses in Weinland Park that he had prepared. Committee members suggested additional businesses that should be added to the list. The next meeting of the committee will be Wednesday, September 9, at 12:30 p.m. at Godman Guild Association, 303 E. Sixth Avenue.
