Language Arts*Due to our Halloween Activities, no school on Tuesday and our field trip, we will not be shopping for new books in Reader’s Workshop this week.*Students-please be sure that you have read/”loved up” your Reader’s Workshop books 2-3 times this week. Remember to bring your books to school EVERY day. This month we are working with Post-its to share our feelings as we read our stories. Since you have kept your books this week, you will be an expert this coming week at Reader’s Workshop. Parents, we strongly encourage you to read aloud to your child for at least 10 minutes a day. It is beneficial to follow up reading with a discussion that includes story sequence and/or predictions. Your child can teach you how to show your feeling in the story with Post-its!!

1. *Letter Printing and Word Review (See letter link next to this week’s homework on the website. You will need to print out the printing paper for your child)* We are reviewing letters Aa, Ss, Mm, Rr, Tt and Bb, as well as our many words. Please help your child with correctly holding a pencil and properly forming the letters top to bottom. Please ONLY USE PENCIL to do your writing. Optional Challenge: On the back, draw a picture that starts with each letter.

2. Word Review -With the words below, write 3 sentences. Try to use as many different words as possible. You may also draw pictures in place of words. For example, draw a duck instead of writing the word.
