There are a growing number of families entering the staff/swimming carpark to drop off and pickup students at school, with a few recent near miss incidents reported. As we are unable to safely provide onsite carpark access to families of all 719 students at the school, the carpark is restricted to use of school staff and swimming patrons scheduled for swimming immediately before or after school. The school appreciates the convenience and perceived safety benefits of dropping students directly in the carpark, however cars double parking, manoeuvering tight turns within the carpark, and exiting via the entry driveway during peak arrival times, are behaviours that place our students and other pedestrians at risk. We ask that you please make use of the kiss and go area when dropping off children, for their safety and that of other students and thank you for your support.

CAR PARKING & SAFETY

Earlier this week we sent a DOJO in relation to our car parking and would like to reinforce the information. There are a growing number of families entering the staff/swimming carpark to drop off and pickup students at school, with a few recent near miss incidents reported.

As we are unable to safely provide onsite carpark access to families of all 719 students at the school, the carpark is restricted to use of school staff and swimming

patrons scheduled for swimming immediately before or after school.

The school appreciates the convenience and perceived safety benefits of dropping students directly in the carpark, however cars double parking, manoeuvering

tight turns within the carpark, and exiting via the entry driveway during peak arrival times, are behaviours that place our students and other pedestrians at risk.

We ask that you please make use of the kiss and go area when dropping off children, for their safety and that of other students and thank you for your support.
