For all (staff and S6 pupils) who are interested in taking part in the Event’s Team’s “Take Me Out”
in November there will be a short meeting at 1.20 in 215 on Thursday. If you are still interested but can’t make it please see
Mrs Crawford or Miss McLay ASAP.

Barcelona Trip June 2016
There is an important meeting on Thursday (8th October) at 1.30 in room 201. This is a compulsory meeting and all must attend. If you cannot make it please come and see Miss Anstruther or Miss Bigley ASAP.
Manchester / Blackpool Trip

S1-6 Hockey club!• Mr Sands and Miss Hume will be coaching a hockey club on Tuesday 3:45-5pm
on the astro.

• Come along after school on Tuesday in your PE kit with shin guards and hockey sticks if you have them!
We are a tournament on WEDNESDAY. If you want to
represent the school you must turn up to training on Tuesday. Priority will go to

Ruts – Build a BikeWe're offering six young people aged 14-19 years old who are residents of Midlothian
the chance to build their own bicycle from scratch. The best part is they'll get to keep the bicycle after the course!
We are asking young people to write 50 words to explain why they are the best choice for a place on the course. We will be looking for young people to explain why
they are interested in the course and how they plan to use the bike after they complete the course. Once they've written their entry they should send it to <http

Closing date for entries is Wednesday 7th October
We're looking for young people who would really benefit from the experience and use the bike they build after the programme.
It will be a five day course run from Monday 12th October - Friday 16th October. The course will run each day from 10am - 3pm.

The training programme

The training programme
The two-year Business Apprenticeship scheme provides a variety of experiences through placements in business related disciplines. Placements available include Commercial, Finance, Resourcing, Procurement and Project Planning/Support.
You will study for the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business Studies on day release, as well as undertaking the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 in business administration and Core Skills while you are at work.
