BRAKE PADSBosch brake pads have a highly stable coefficient to ensure performance does not diminish even under extreme conditions.All brake pads are manufactured to original equipment specifications and exceed ECE R90 standards. In addition to this, they are ‘scorched’ to shorten the bedding in process and our original equipment underlayer technology reduces heat transfer to the brake fluid and reduces noise.

KONFORT 710R Konfort 710R Entry level machine. The KONFORT 710R is designed to satisfy the needs of garages who want an “entry level” system only for R134a which, after all, is still the most common refrigerant in vehicle A/C systems. Although this is an entry level model the KONFORT 710R provides, as standard, all the essential functions that have established the KONFORT 700 Series as the leading recharge stations on the market. Features include automatic leak detection, electronic refrigerant weighing, automatic timed oil and UV tracer injection and high efficiency refrigerant recovery (over 95%).

TEXA: THE KONFORT 700 SERIESKONFORT 720R The KONFORT 720R is designed to recharge all car, commercial, HGV and tractor air conditioning systems. The KONFORT 720R is equipped with automatic refrigerant recovery and recycling and oil drainage functions. Quantities of oil and UV tracer are controlled by an automatic valve system. The operator therefore only has a few simple tasks to carry out, such as manual hose valve control. The 720R can be purchased configured either for the old R134a refrigerant or the new R1234yf refrigerant. A retrofit kit is also available to change refrigerant type.

KONFORT 780R BI-GASThe KONFORT 780R is the top of the range service station which is designed to deal with both refrigerant types (R134a & R1234yf) simultaneously. The unit is fully automatic and the information is clearly presented on the colour display. An internal SD card records all the service functions as well as containing the vehicle database. Automatic Oil/UV management with electronic bottle identification and hermetically sealed containers prevents cross contamination of oils and any moisture contamination of lubricants. The internal tilt sensor ensures accurate refrigerant charging at all times, whilst the automatic leak detection and complex internal ventilation system ensures safe use with the new refrigerant. These new features allow the units to be compatible with Hybrid and Electric vehicles. The accuracy of both the recovery and charge phases are greatly increased to meet the latest OEM requirements. In addition the oil and refrigerant management is accurately controlled to prevent cross contamination at any point.

KONFORT 760R The KONFORT 760R has all the same features as the 780R, but is designed as a single refrigerant unit. A retrofit kit to change refrigerant type to R1234yf in the future is available. This does not update the unit to a bi-gas as with the Konfort 780.

The 780R, 760R and 760BUS, are all fitted with transport locks to protect the measuring system during transportation. In addition, a range of accessories can be purchased for refrigerant flushing, VDC* control diagnosis, system performance checks and gas analysis.*Variable Displacement Compressor

KONFORT 707RThe KONFORT 707R is TEXA’s latest recharge and maintenance station for vehicle air conditioning systems. It is designed and made for maximum simplicity and effectiveness in servicing systems filled with the new R1234yf refrigerant, mandatory within the European Community since January 2011 and now increasingly common. Though basic and easy to use, the KONFORT 707R recharge station boasts extremely advanced design solutions. It is fully automatic in functioning and guarantees excellent efficiency and safety.

The Oscilloscope is a vital tool for accurate and effective diagnosis of many components, increasing the likelihood of a “first time” fix. As we know, a scan tool will usually find the fault but often only puts the technician in the general area of the problem. Thorough testing of the component along with associated sensors, actuators and wiring is essential before replacing any parts.

Diagnosis Using an Oscilloscope APSC10

Advanced Braking APB2Designed for technicians who are competent on common systems but require training on the more advanced areas including ABS, ESP and EPB. Technicians will also learn how to work on Mercedes Sensatronic systems and how to use a scan tool to safely bleed ABS modules electronically. On successful completion the technician will have a thorough understanding of ABS and EPB systems, including common faults, service procedures, routine maintenance and component function.

Designed to remove the “fear” from electrical test procedures, the course covers different types of circuits, resistance tests, volt drop testing, ohms law, parasitic voltages and wiring diagrams.Further information is provided on how to connect a multimeter and oscilloscope to a vehicle system and what the readings mean, along with an overview of the purpose and function of relays, transistors, diodes and capacitors. The course is designed to give the technician the confidence and knowledge to take on some of the more complex electronic faults.

Fundamental Electronics APFE3

Designed to update and increase the knowledge of technicians who are familiar with earlier diesel systems and the principals of their operation but need to understand the more modern high pressure systems. This course covers Mechanical diesel overview, Common Rail system overview including high and low pressure systems, sensors and injectors - both MV and Piezo electronic. The course also covers emissions including EGR valves, pumps and test procedures.

Common Rail Diesel APCD4

With the complexity of modern engine management systems increasing year on year, it is easy for any technician to get into the habit of “Googlenostics” or worse still “Swapnostics”. This course has been developed to explain not only the functionality of the various sensors and actuators used, but also how they work and how to test them correctly. The course also looks at Lambda and catalytic sensors, focussing on both their function and correct test procedures. All tests are carried out using scan tools, multimeters and scopes.

Engine Management APEM6

A logical follow on to the APEM6 Engine Management course, the new CAT and DPF course offers a detailed explanation of component function and test procedures of both the catalytic converter and the relevant O2 sensors or Lambda sensors. Given that, in principal, the DPF serves the same purpose as the CAT, the second part of the course explains how to identify and understand the function of the major diesel emission components and again how to test and diagnose faults.

Catalytic Converters and DPF Systems APDPF7

Diagnosis by 4 Gas Analysis APEMM14Gas analysis can be extremely useful in diagnosing drivability and emission faults but is often overlooked with many technicians favouring traditional fault code readers. The course offers a thorough explanation of the gas analyser and gives the technician the ability to measure the effectiveness of repairs and component replacement by comparing ‘before and after’ emission readings. The course includes both theory and practical workshop sessions.

Steering Geometry and Wheel Alignment APSG21Modern vehicle wheel alignment technology has advanced massively over recent years, with most vehicles now needing adjustment to both front and rear wheels. The term ‘Tracking’ is now frowned upon by many experts and the requirement for full Four Wheel Alignment has lead to an increased demand for new computer and camera based alignment systems, along with the knowledge needed to correctly understand, check and adjust vehicle steering geometry.

Airbags APAB22When first introduced, the airbag was actually intended to replace the seatbelt! Thankfully this did not become reality and subsequent research found that the airbag, in conjunction with a seatbelt with pre-tensioners was the best configuration. Today, these systems are known as Supplementary Restraint Systems, (SRS), which operate and activate with much greater complexity than the early single bag systems. This course looks at the safe deactivation and handling of airbag systems, storage and disposal as well as diagnosis and fault rectification.

Smart Charging Systems/Stop Start APSM20A comprehensive look into the modern ‘Smart Charge’ system, including battery management and coding. As complex as these systems appear to be at first glance, they still operate using a battery and alternator which are linked to a series of modules that monitor various factors, including battery charge status, electrical usage and demand. The course focusses on why the technology is so different from a conventional charging system and also how to test the various components and take accurate readings, based on the charge mode of the vehicle.

Can-Bus Made Easy? APCB15Developed by Robert Bosch, CAN-Bus (Controller Area Network) systems are essentially a vehicle communications network, not dissimilar to an office computer network although obviously much more compact. These systems allow for rapid communication of data between the various electronic modules and components fitted to vehicles, speed being the most important factor when used to operate and control systems such as ABS, ASR, airbags and other safety critical areas. With the added benefit of reducing weight, most manufacturers now opt for at least two CAN-Bus ‘backbones’. The course provides a valuable insight into both high and low speed application specific CAN-Bus systems.
