To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to recommend Lauren Harrell for a position in the field of advertising. Lauren has demonstrated a commitment to academics that will translate well into a career in her chosen field.

I met Lauren as a student in my Intro to Mass Media class. She exhibited an interest in maintaining good grades and showed an ability to think critically – taking information in class, synthesizing it and applying it to concepts that made her assignments interesting and informative.

Lauren attended class regularly and completed her assignments on time. She showed a deep understanding of the material presented to her. She was enthusiastic, prodding others in class to participate in class discussion. Lauren has the kind of personality that exudes confidence – a characteristic that will serve her well in his career.

Lauren was active in campus organizations and exhibited her leadership skills both in class and as a leader in those organizations. Her magnetic personality draws people to her. This characteristic contributes to her natural leadership abilities.
