There must be something in the water this week.

Unfortunately, this week has seen lots of emotions coming out and sometimes spilling over in the playground. While I understand the frustrations that can be felt on a day to day basis, under no circumstances should this escalate to someone physically or verbally being aggressive to someone else. Lavington Public School prides itself on being an environment where teaching and learning can thrive. But, honestly, there’s been a couple of speed bumps this week. These issues have been dealt with promptly, thoroughly and transparently as we continue to deliver the best education for all of our students.

In more positive news…

It was great to see so many community members support our P&C’s Trivia Night. It was very well organised and the time taken to gather prizes, develop questions and organise the smooth running of the night was greatly appreciated by all in attendance. Dave Cunningham as quizmaster was exceptional and provided many laugh out loud moments. Well done Kathy Barnes and team. We have a very hardworking P&C and one we should all be proud of!

Our Book Parade also had an incredible turn out. I stood in front of the Kindergarten classrooms to take in the view of all the parents and family members coming to support Book Week at LPS. It was awesome. So much time and effort went into costumes and seeing the staff dress up with them was pretty impressive too. So good to see!

Have a great Friday, weekend and I’ll see you again soon.

Brett
