LN Student-Athlete of the Week

Nathan Stone, 2019 LN Graduate National Pole Vault Champion, IHSAA State Champion,

Indiana Mr. Track & Field Recent LN grad Nathan Stone, fresh off an IHSAA State Championship and

recently named the Indiana Mr. Track & Field, won the New Balance National Championship over the weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina. Stone will be

headed to Indiana University in the fall. What a way to cap off your high school career. Great job, Nathan! Best wishes at IU!

New Coaches Named for Wrestling and Girls Golf Jacob Aven has been named the head coach of the wrestling team,

and Tracy Webster has been named the head coach of the girls golf team. Aven, a recent Purdue graduate, was a 2019 NCAA national qualifier and Academic All-American. Webster, a former All-State

golfer at Hamilton Southeastern and Ball State golfer, was the assistant coach the last two seasons for the Wildcats.

All Fall Creek and Lawrence North wrestling families and athletes

are invited to meet Coach Aven on Wednesday, June 19th starting at 7:00pm in the LGI room 533. Please enter door #12 in the back of

the school.

Coach Webster will have a call out and informational meeting at a later date – details forthcoming.

Early Summer Highlights Recent LN grads Nathan Stone, Carolyn Bakx, Grace Dean, and Sarah

Greer were named to the Indiana All-Star track & field team! They represented Indiana against All-Star teams from Ohio and

Michigan at Michigan State University. Great job, Wildcats!

The LN girls basketball team was undefeated playing at the University of Cincinnati over the weekend!

At Indiana University, LN football was undefeated in pool play and won the IU 7 v 7 tournament, beating Warren Central in the

championship game!

At Purdue University, the LN boys basketball team went undefeated, going 4-0!

2006 Mr. Basketball Greg Oden Back in Indiana! Greg Oden will be playing basketball in Indianapolis again on June 23rd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The former Wildcat and Indiana

Mr. Basketball will be competing in rapper Ice Cube's BIG3 Basketball League, in an afternoon hoops and appearances from basketball legends Julius "Dr. J" Erving, George "Iceman" Gervin,

Rick Barry and Lisa Leslie. Oden led the Wildcats to three straight IHSAA State Championships from 2004 – 2006 and was the #1 pick

in the 2007 NBA draft after leading Ohio State to the 2007 NCAA championship game. Also playing with Indiana ties are Jermaine O'Neal, Stephen Jackson, C.J. Watson and Bonzi Wells. The event

NEW IHSAA PHSICAL & CONSENT TO TREAT/EMERGENCY FORMS REQUIRED

Starting Monday, June 10th, a new IHSAA physical and consent to treat forms for the 2019-2020 must be on file with the athletic office

prior to any workout, open gym, practice, or competition. This is required every year. There are two links below. One is the IHSAA

physical form that must be filled out and turned in to the LN athletic office. The second is the required online consent to treat and

emergency medical information forms.

Both of these are required for any student-athlete for the 2019-20 school year, including summer workouts.

Starting June 10th, no student-athlete will be permitted to work out until these requirements are completed and submitted.
