The first of these trails is a loop that is designed as a fun, rolling, intermediate trail for classic and skate skiers. ThisNorth-facing trail winds through geologic elements left over from the hydraulic mining era as well as through a dense forest. An additional 5 kilometer trail will be groomed this season that will take skiers into the Preston Townsite and Dry Gulch areaof the Golden Horseshoe. This 5K trail is meant for intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a cardiovascular challenge. The access point for both new trails is the Peabody Trailhead or the Gold Run Nordic Center's Peabody Trail.
