Dear Friends,
I was first introduced to this delightfulmusical in its original run at NewYork’s NewVictory Theatre, and was immediatelycharmed by it. It is everything a great showfor kids should be – the music and lyrics areclever and funny, the story is based onwonderful books, the authors kept theoriginal flavor of those stories withoutfeeling a need to embellish, and althoughthe core audience is children, adults are justas likely to fall in love with it as their kids. It’s just the kind of show that we try to dohere at the MainStreet Theatre Company, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to share itwith you! I’m also grateful for our wonderfulcreative team, led by director Craig Belknap, who have put this production together withsuch loving care. I know you’ll recognize
some familiar facesin our multi-talentedcast! It’s great to haveReggie and Dennisback together in this show after wowing ouraudiences in Seussical in our first season.
As always, we are especially grateful toTARGET for giving us the opportunity toprovide lower priced tickets during thesecond weekend of the run, and we’reexcited to welcome VGKidz as a sponsor forthis production!
I invite you to sit back and enjoy A YEARWITH FROG AND TOAD – and I dare you notto walk out humming the tunes!
Sincerely,
Mireya (Murry) HepnerMainStreet Theatre Company Producer
