Hello Fellow Alumni Hello Fellow Alumni -- From George Stokus, PresiFrom George Stokus, Presidentdent
I can hardly believe a year has gone by since I took office as the President of the LEADER-
ship Alumni Foundation. I want to first thank the Alumni Board for their support. The board
paved the way for our group to accomplish great things. Our lunch and learns are a hit and
we now average 40-50 attendees at each event. Our membership has enjoyed these
networking opportunities, which also allow us to stay apprised of current events affecting
our businesses and everyday lives.
I regularly refer to my directory to see if there is someone I can call with a question about a
pressing issue or a problem I am trying to solve. I hope you do the same and make use of
the great resources that are our membership. This year, the Alumni Board has undertaken the fundraiser without
the fundraiser event, perplexing at first, but a necessary event to sustain our Youth LEADERship Program. If you
have not had a chance to be part of this program, I would urge you to volunteer for a Youth LEADERship Day. I
am confident you will be impressed by the youth who hold the keys to the future of our county.
It was a distinct privilege to speak at the graduation ceremony of Class 29, where Kloee Ciuperger was elected as
class representative. Congratulations, Kloee, I am sure you will represent your class well. As Class 30 begins for
LEADERship Martin, I will be stepping into the role of Past President of the foundation and Sue Whittington will be
stepping up as President. I could not think of a better leader in our community and for our organization. I person-
ally want to thank Sue for all her help and hard work, making my year as President an easy one. I look forward to
seeing everyone at future events and watching our organization grow.
