Three essenal quesons will be addressed: • What are the enduring principles of learning in a me of rapid change in public educaon? • How do we change our perspecves about learning? • What needs to be changed? Educaon Service Center Region 11, the Kimbell Art Museum, and Syfr are providing a two-day leadership academy for public school leaders and a series of five single-day instutes for teachers in all content areas. ArtWalks at the museum will showcase concrete and visual examples of how learning occurs and will highlight the blockbuster exhibion Faces of Impressionism: Portraits from the Musée d’Orsay, direct from Paris to Fort Worth, as well as the Kimbell’s permanent collecon. What results can we expect? Leaders who aend the academy will reframe their thinking around instruconal strategies ed to enduring and sound instruconal principles. Teachers who aend will create and measure instruconal shiſts in the classroom. In districts that have used The Art of Learning, teachers apply the learning, use more art in classroom instrucon across the curriculum, and share with other teachers. Presented by the authors of The Art of Learning, this work is transformave in its design and unique in the presentaon of the content. The sessions are problem and project based. Every parcipant will leave with an arfact demonstrang personalized learning. Each cohort is limited to the first 40 parcipants to join. It is recommended that schools sign up for both the Leaders Academy and Teacher Instutes to make the work most effecve.
