Spend a great deal of time listening to employees / faculty members

Have a positive, optimistic attitude about the work and employees / the faculty members.

Whenever possible, involve employees / faculty members in decisions about how you can most effectively achieve the goals of the organization / institution

Show genuine interest in employees / faculty members and their welfare and have a good understanding of each person’s long-term goals.

• Create an attitude of belonging that communicates ‘This is our organization / institution; we produce this product or service and we are proud of what we are doing”
