HABIT #1

This program will introduce many methods for approaching management that may be new to you. Behavior change happens best through the development of small and frequent habits. With your buddy, determine three habits you will focus on developing during this program. Ensure they are small and measurable. Then, hold each other accountable at the end of the week during your check-ins.

TALENT ACQUISITION: THE HIRING PROCESSThe Hershey hiring process is a refined and proven seven-step methodology for acquiring top talent for the organization. From finding the right talent to welcoming a new employee to the company, this process identifies the what, who, how, and when of securing a successful hire.

INITIATE INTAKE RECRUIT INTERVIEW CALIBRATE OFFER PREBOARD

Before the talent acquisition team can help you find top talent, we need to know that you have an opening.

This step is completed online. We’ve provided links below to show you how to initiate a job requisition through success factors.

The intake meeting is where you meet your hiring team, learn more about the recruitment process, and talk through the details of your opening.

The talent advisor will educate you on the labor market and align expectations around candidates, timing, and next steps.

Your talent sourcer will now begin to implement a sourcing strategy, screen candidates by phone, and prepare a short list of applicants for you to review.

Once you have selected some candidates to interview, your talent advisor will work with the talent coordinator to schedule any phone, video, or in-person interviews.

Calibration is a post-interview discussion where the team can share ratings and feedback and come to a data-driven decision on whether or not a candidate is the most qualified person for the job.

Following a successful final interview, your talent advisor will “pre-close” your candidate in the areas of relocation, salary, spousal concerns, etc.

After the offer has been extended, we stay extremely close to the candidate to ensure that all their questions have been answered and that they’re having a good preboarding experience.

Getting ReadyAction Plan

COHORT-LED RECONNECTIt’s time to reconnect with your peers from this program. A member of your cohort volunteered to schedule the cohort reconnect. Check your calendar for a meeting invite. During this meeting, discuss how you’ve been implementing your action plan from the program and celebrate the progress you have made in just three short months! Keep the momentum and challenge each other to continue growing as Hershey leaders.

WHAT INSIGHTS HAVE YOU GAINED FROM ROAD-TESTING YOUR ACTION PLAN?

WHICH HABITS DID YOU SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENT? HOW?

HOW WOULD YOU REVISE YOUR ACTION PLAN BASED ON THE BUMPS YOU EXPERIENCED ALONG THE WAY?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO CONTINUE YOUR GROWTH AS A HERSHEY LEADER?
