• Senate Bill 214, the school violence bill, will require a higher standard of care for all districts, including ours, in the area of school safety.
• First US pilot program for the use of the Guardian Cap, a helmet protective device that attaches to the football helmets used by our student-athletes.

• On-going implementation of JeffcoJobs, powered by TeacherMatch, as our new recruiting platform.

• Continued implementation of Affordable Care Act.
• Implementation of new JCEA contract provisions, once ratified by JCEA and approved by Board.
Chief Information Technology Officer
• Next Generation Network (school bandwidth doubles, increased Internet) – High speed fiber network architecture with access to Internet2 and
educational media rich content – Flexibility in architectural design – Additional capacity can be provisioned quickly as school bandwidth
needs increase. – Partnering with C-DOT, NREL and School of Mines
• Information Security & Data Privacy – Policy work with CDE and our Data Privacy committee piloting data
