My Name is Leandre de VilliersI am a graphic Design graduate and I studied the creative arts at the Pearson Institute of Higher Education. My interests include character design, comic book illustrations and 3d animation. I also possess some manner of skill in web design.

In my free time i enjoy watching cartoons and anime while illustrating at the same time. It is my dream to one day become a video game character designer or owning my own comic book franchise.

Requirements

We had to to complete an entire online brand for the new restaurant. We also had to design a logo, a look and feel, layout, colour choices, personality, and mood.

I needed to submit my portfolio as a working website.

Also to conceptualise and design a brand that represents myself and the work that I do.

Logo Reveal

Requirements

re-design and re-package the e.tv brand identity.

Logo RevealYou’ll need to design a quick (no longer than 10 seconds) logo reveal of the new e.tv logo.

Notice BoardYou will need to create a general notice board that can display general station information. They can often be used to display competition winner names, or changes to programming.

Now, Next and Then (Schedules)You will need to produce a board that is used to provide a schedule of programming. The Now, Next and Then board must show at least the next three programmes. It must also state times and dates.

FPB RatingsThe ratings notices are required by law to be placed before any television show or movie. Ratings are dictated by the FPB (Film and Publications Board). You will need to create at least three ratings notice boards.

RunnerA runner is placed across the bottom of the screen. Runners are used to provide important information without needing to break current programming. You’ll find runners are often used to inform viewers about anything from signal problems to the latest winning lottery numbers.

Movie Genrese.tv would also like a set of animated introductions for movie genres that can be used before a movie begins. The introductions must be no longer than 10 seconds each (they can be shorter, but must all be the same length). You need to create a minimum of two genre introductions

ACDR300Brief 5 – I’m a Robot

Requirements

Students are to take the Robot that they have designed in their 3D animation module anduse it to create a cover for a graphic novel or comic book.Students should decide on the “character/personality” of their robot, and come up with ashort plot to involve the character in. For example: Is it a good or a bad robot? What kindof intelligence does it have? What was it designed for? In the story does the robot have amain role or a supporting role? These types of questions will help you decide how toportray your robot- the colours you use, the environment you choose and the action poseyou might set it up in. You may need to design other characters for your robot to interactwith.

Brief 7 – Super MeRequirements

Create my own comic book character (hero, ally and villain). Use myself, family or class mates to base the characters features and model poses on.

I had to construct and texture my robot and finally rig it so that it is ready foranimation. I also needed to complete a walk cycle for my robot and an idle animation.

Requirements

I had to use live motion footage that I needed to shoot myself using any technology i have at my disposal – even a cell phone camera can be used, I could create any storyline i like under the title “The Takeover”.

I could use the robot character i completed in the “I’m a Robot” brief as an asset inthis brief. If not, then I needed to consideranother 3D element that i can composite into the live motion footage that i shoot.
