Who We Are

The General Colin L. Powell Leadership

Academy, is a school within a school, military

program that offers a one-of-kind, college

preparatory, science-technology, engineering

-math (STEM) based, public charter high

school option. Students belong to an Army

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps

(JROTC) model with a commitment to

leadership, discipline, academic excellence,

and character development.

We are not a military recruitment program, we

are a leadership academy with the mission to

motivate young people to be better citizens.

What We Do

The General Colin L. Powell Leadership

Academy offers a challenging and engaging

academic environment where military values

and ideals are woven into the entire

curriculum to inspire cadets to become better

scholars, leaders, and citizens.
