YEOVAL CENTRAL SCHOOL
Term 2 Week 2
4 May 2020
Together we inspire Together we learn Together we achieve
At Yeoval Central School we inspire all to be responsible, respectful learners. Working together to achieve and grow.
Learning From Home We have had a great start to Term 2 – Learning from
Home! Our teachers have continued to provide all
students with a rich curriculum via Zoom and Google
Classroom. All areas of their learning will continue
and I am proud to be a part of a workforce that cares
deeply about your child’s learning and wellbeing.
During Term 2, Mrs Kate Lee will be relieving as our
Primary Assistant Principal, whilst Mrs Jodie Klein will
be our Instructional Leader – Learning from Home. As a
result, Miss Jade Taylor will also be part of our primary
teaching staff working with all classes K-6.
Last week, we were able to provide internet dongles
and devices to all students who were unable to
connect. I thank Mrs Jodie Klein for meeting with
families to complete user agreements and provide
support in setting up their new technology.
We welcome Mr Peter Neilson to Peak Hill Central
School as Principal and a member of
our Western Access Program team.

Agriculture Update
We have oat crops growing at the Ag Farm. On the 9 March, the Tremain’s air
seeded the two large paddocks with oats, these paddocks now have a 30cm
crop over them. The photos show our goats enjoying some green feed.
Today saw the first hatch of chickens at
YCS for 2020. Black Leghorn chickens
and some Lohman/Isa Brown cross Leghorn chickens. Some of these will be
available to purchase later in the week. The leghorn chickens will make up
the YCS 2021 Schools Purebred Layer team at the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter
Show.
The schools 4 Dorper ewes are heavy in lamb and have been lost in
one of the oat paddocks that the class planted. The oats are nearly
waist height, if you look very closely you can see the very tops of
the ewes. Stay tuned for future updates.
