In our treatment foster care program, hundreds of children a year have a safe foster home through Aldea because of you, where they can begin to heal after suffering abuse in their birth homes. We provide hope and healing to thousands of people that we serve in our mental health programs. And adults with developmental disabilities learn how to thrive independently in their own homes, outside the walls of institutions. But we could never do it without strong community support. With the commitment of Aldea’s staff, board, donors, volunteers, supporters, and advocates, we get closer each day to building a community that works for everyone; where people have their needs met so they can actively participate and contribute to this dynamic place we call home. Estimados Amigos,Durante los últimos 46 años, un grupo de espíritus determinados, nuestro talentoso personal, junto con la ayuda de donantes, voluntarios, partidarios, y defensores—como tú—han impactado las historias personales de miles de niños abusados y desatendidos, sus familias, y adultos con discapacidades de desarrollo.

En nuestro programa de tratamiento para cuidado de acogida, cienes de niños al año tienen un hogar por medio de Aldea gracias a ti, donde ellos pueden comenzar a sanar después de haber sufrido abuso en sus hogares de nacimiento. Nosotros proveemos esperanza y sanación a miles de personas que servimos en nuestros programas de salud mental. Y adultos con discapacidades de desarrollo aprenden a sobresalir independientemente en sus propios hogares, fuera de las paredes de instituciones. Pero nunca lo hubiéramos podido sin un fuerte apoyo comunitario.

Con el compromiso del personal de Aldea, su consejo de administración, donantes, voluntarios, partidarios, y defensores, nos acercamos cada día más a la construcción de una comunidad que funciona para todos; donde personas tienen sus necesidades satisfechas para poder participar activamente y contribuir al sitio dinámico que llamamos hogar. Inauguración del Premio Courage to Change A Life Award (Valor para Cambiar una Vida)

El 2018 marca nuestro primer año en dar el premio Courage to Change A Life Award (Valor para Cambiar una Vida). Este premio fue creado por nuestro consejo de administración como un premio anual para reconocer los esfuerzos de clientes y sus familias que han demostrado una valentía y devoción excepcional a mejorar vidas y crear futuros brillantes en nuestra comunidad.
