• Cancer?

• CI: Pregnancy

• Toxic: OD causes systemic toxicity (higher safety flags on this one)

• Anodyne, sedative • Pain, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis pain, PMS pain (female health

• AE: abd pain

• Not commonly used internally

• Astringent, anti-inflam, anti-septic

• Strong

GI: Diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids

Safety: Use only short-term due to reduced nutrient absorption, CI on externally damaged skin

• TOPICAL – Anodyne, anti-inflam

• Pain, dysmen, ovarian cyst, PMS, myalgia

• Orally – causes catharsis/emesis

• Toxic OD internally, do not use not long-term
