Led by banjo virtuoso Dave Ivaz, The Ragtime Ramblers blend the best of Dixieland Jazz with outstanding musicianship and a style all their own, including “Dixiefied” rock classics.
Dave Ivaz is a dual Canadian-US citizen hailing from Chicago and based in Vancouver BC. Dave has performed with artists ranging from Martha Reeves & the Vandellas to The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, jazz vocalist Nancy Wilson, the Fifth Dimension and more. Dave and the Ragtime Ramblers are veterans of festivals including The Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Milwaukee Summerfest, Lollapalooza and state fairs throughout the US. Dave’s Dixieland expertise spans Broadway musicals to festivals, performances with TheStars of Lawrence Welk and numerous recordings. A longtime member of the Wrigley Field Chicago Cubs Band, Dave is proud that The Ragtime Ramblers are the “Ballpark” band for the Vancouver Canadians baseball team. Dave also designed the popular 1990’s strolling Dixieland Band program for Chicago’s famed Navy Pier. Dave and the Ragtime Ramblers continue to thrill audiences at park districts, festivals, parades, country clubs, conventions and at corporate and private events throughout North America.

Saul is Vancouver native who enjoys a busy career as a musician and composer with his own bands as well as Tzimmes, Caviar & Lace and the Ragtime Ramblers. An in-demand private music instructor and school saxophone clinician in Metro Vancouver, Saul believes in giving back to community and performs often at hospitals, senior homes and neighbourhood houses. Saul has performed throughout Canada, Europe, the Mideast and South Africa releasing 5 CD’s in the process.
