Joe Kuspan, AIA, Senior Vice President, KarlsbergerFor more than 30 years, Joe has devoted his career to planning and designing healing environments that embrace, encourage and entertain patients, their families and caregivers. An award-winning designer at Karlsberger, he has been at the forefront of design trends such as private rooms and family-centered spaces, and is an advocate for sustainability. Most recently, Joe was the lead architectural designer and campus master planner for Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX, the first hospital in the world to achieve LEED® platinum-level certification. Joe received his bachelor’s of architecture from the University of Notre Dame, and his master’s of architecture from the Ohio State University.
Alan Bell, AIA LEED® AP, Seton Family of HospitalsAlan has 30 years of experience in the design and construction of various types of facilities. Alan is the Director for Design and Construction for the Seton Family of Hospitals. He has been with Seton since October 2004. In the last year, Seton Network Facilities successfully opened the newDell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT) and the new Seton Medical Center Williamson. Prior to joining Seton, Alan worked for more than six years at Dell Inc. as Facilities Manager/Corporate Architect.
Dylan Siegler, LEED AP, Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems
Dylan Siegler, Associate Principal at the Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, provides sustainable design and LEED consulting services to commercial, residential, civic, and heath care projects. Recently completed projects include Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, the first acute care hospital in the world to achieve LEED Platinum certification, and its neighbor, Ronald McDonald House of Austin and Central Texas, the first LEED for New Construction project in the Austin area to be awarded LEED Platinum certification.
April Eisenhauer, EIT, LEED AP, Mechanical Designer, ccrd partners
Ms. Eisenhauer is a Mechanical Designer in the Dallas office of ccrd partners. She has been involved in the design of a variety of different projects, including data centers, hospitals, and medical facilities. Ms. Eisenhauer received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University in 2006.
She has done work for C.S. Mott Children’s & Women’s Hospital, University of Michigan LEED Certification, Parkview Regional Medical Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas LEED Platinum Certification.
