World Earth Day

On World Earth Day, online lecture were organized on 22 April 2021 by the student teachers of the last semester Coordinator Dr. N. Rohen Meetei, Associate Professor, Education said that Earth Day is the subject of every people, it cannot be divided into any particular category. The Covid period has reaffirmed the relevance of the subject, so to arouse the interest of the subject among the student teachers; Dr. Dawa Shering Bhutia, an environmentalist from Ladak and Sikkim, organized an online lecture. He shared his experiences and said that we take as much from the earth as is required. The way people are dying in hospitals today without oxygen, imagine what will happen if we eliminate trees from the earth? Our future generations will never forgive us. In addition, the earth can be revived only by the active role of student teachers. Student teachers Deepak and Ms. Priyadarshini gave presentations on current issues including environmental protection and the background of Earth Day. Director Dr. Rishi Goel congratulated everyone on the successful event and reiterated the resolve to save the earth.
