We require LASP volunteers to attend a 4 hour session per week for 40 out of the first 52 weeks of starting on the project in order to ensure clients receive continuity and support which is paramount to the success of the project.

We only have a limited number of experienced volunteers to mentor new starters, and therefore willingness to commit to the above is a requirement for being selected onto the project. Sessions occur between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

1. We need to be certain that you will remain with the Project for at least 12 out of the 18 weeks between the 3rd of June and the 30th of September. Please tell us what your plans are for next summer, whether you will be able to commute to Bristol each week and how certain you are that you can commit to volunteering with us over this period.

9. Please give details of your criminal convictions. Under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, most sentences awarded by a court for criminal offenses may be regarded as spent and disregarded for most purposes, after a specified period of time and need not be disclosed. However if the appointment for which you have applied is one to which the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order apply, you are required to declare any criminal convictions and enquiries and checks may be made in that respect. It is your responsibility to distinguish between those convictions, which require to be declared, and those that do not and enquiries and checks may be made in that respect.
