LEGAL ADVOCACY After the last occassion, a substantial progress in the matter of Dr Aarti Lalchandani took place. The Hon'ble Allahabad High Court reprimanded the State Government for not submitting their Action Taken Report against the erring doctor. As the last opportunity, the State has been directed to file their progress report in the instant matter. However, Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State tried to rest assure the Hon'ble Bench in the their following words:- "Disciplinary Action is being contemplated against the erring officer-respondent no.8." Internet copy of the order dated 01.10.2020 is thus attached herewith for kind perusal. This matter is posted for 18.11.2020 hopefully for final disposal.

COMMUNICATION WITH THE CONCERNED AUTHORITIES In its endeavour to establish channels of communication and engage with the administration and political leadership of the country, IMPAR wrote various letters of concern. IMPAR sent a congratulatory mail to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and also raising community concerns in the same.

COMMUNITY WORK As part of IMPAR’s reforms agenda, IMPAR team of volunteers conducted Awareness Campaign in Seelampur and Zafrabad area of Delhi, on 13th September, covering markets, metro station, masjid, temple etc. The team of volunteers was led by IMPAR Field Coordinator, Mr. Shan Mohammed.

IMPAR conducted another Awareness Campaign in Shahdara, East Delhi and Babarpur, North East Delhi, on 16th September, covering markets, metro station, masjid, temple etc. The team of volunteers executed the work laboriously once again.

IMPAR Cleanliness and Awareness Drive was conducted at Karawal Nagar and Mustafabad in North East Delhi. The volunteers cleaned the madarsa/ mosque compound, school premises and were also engaged with the residents of the locality, the pharmacy and other local stores on issues of cleanliness, introspection and community. IMPAR volunteers conducted yet another Awareness Program where they distributed masks, sanitized hawkers, and created awareness of Covid-19 to the masses. The drive took place at India Gate, Delhi on September 27th, 2020.

Under IMPAR'S Cleanliness and Awareness Program, IMPAR volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive at Khirki Masjid, Delhi. Khirki Masjid is one such ancient mosque which is known for unique architecture and historical significance. It is the finest Muslims heritage site in Delhi. IMPAR CLEANLINESS PROGRAM is designed for taking up responsibility of our surroundings, to motivate youth towards cleanliness and hygiene and make them responsible. As it is rightly said, “Cleanliness is half Iman”. IMPAR State Coordinators and members of IMPAR State Councils got below posters printed and pasted in mosques in their respective states, making an earnest appeal to the Musallees to be more aware in times of covid.

WEBINARS HELD IMPAR conducted a dialogue on “Way Forward for Interfaith Fraternal Relations in

India” with Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, an intellectual politician who maintains dignity for

all faith, culture and opinions, which reflects in his debates as the party spokesperson

and as Parliamentarian. He gave example of certain leaders of Hinduism and Islam in

the interfaith context. He gave his view that the only country which can pave the way of

interfaith is India on the basis of mutual trust and confidence. He stressed on mutual

respect and coexistence. He concluded by stating that mutual confidence and efforts

towards prosperity and education can lead our country way forward.

IMPAR organised a dialogue with Dr. M. Salim prominent CPM leader on “The Social Accountability of Political Class - The role of political people in contributing social cohesion between communities” on 16th September 2020, Wednesday at 07.00 p.m. where he addressed “social accountability” and expressed that there should be an accountability of all the citizens.

IMPAR conducted a webinar on September 17th on “Careers in Defence Services” as part of its empowerment and reform program where the keynote speaker was Brigadier Syed Ahmed Ali, Steering Committee Member, IMPAR. He enlightened the youth with the benefits of joining forces and the process of selection along with its pattern.

IMPAR conducted another webinar on September 23rd on “Careers in Company Secretaryship” as part of its reform program. Mr. Nesar Ahmed who has served as a President at Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), enlightened the aspirants to the knowledge of ICSI and its sub-divisions. He elucidated the participants about CS Examination and the qualifying criteria.

IMPAR regulated a synergistic dialogue with Shri Vikash Narain Rai, ex DG, Director

National Police, Academy and SIT Chief of Samjhauta Express where he acknowledged

the biasness of police which has also been covered in multitudinous videos. He

discusses the bias nature of Delhi Police and the shortcoming of the Govt. in failing to

announce any enquiry committee post Delhi Riots despite cogent allegations. IMPAR’s

members also took active participation on this subject. The panel included Lt Gen

Zameeruddin Shah, Advocate Feroze Ghazi, Ms. Khair ull Nissa, and Ms. Talat Zameer.

PRESS RELEASE ISSUED Shri Vikash Narain Rai talks about Delhi Riots and Partisan Police with IMPAR in a dialogure on September 26th, 2020 where he admits the biasness of Delhi Police. He admits that police is biased socially. He also acknowledges that there has been an active conspiracy of turning victims into active conspirators. IMPAR issued a press release on the same. IMPAR issues another press release announcing the addition of members in their Executive Committee reaching to 27 members with a hope of development of the country and the community. Mr. Khalid Ansari, the Executive Director welcomed the eight new members having full confidence in them that they will advance the agenda and work for the progress and reforms of Indian Muslims Development so that the country and society can benefit.

SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA ACTIVITIES IMPAR sent greetings on World Hindi Day highlighting the essence of the language and the significance of Hindi in India’s heritage and culture.

IMPAR wishes Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti and remembered their sacrifices and dedication to the nation aiming to take resolutions on this blessed day to follow the path of truth and peaceful development.

Activist, Mumbai Meetings with Steering Committee and Executive Committee were held occasionally. In one such meeting with the Steering Committee, registering IMPAR under Societies Registration Act 1860 was suggested. Bringing Muslim youth towards the teachings of Quran felt to be of utmost importance and urgency. It was emphasized to conduct intra as well as inter community dialogues. Meetings with other functional groups were also held. One such meeting was organised with the Overseas Group Members where dialogue with community leaders, educational plans, expansion of IMPAR’s media panel, meeting with ministers, other community issues, etc. were addressed. Priorities were also set as per the need of the hour.

IMPAR State Councils were constituted. 11 State Chapters were created with a State Coordinator for each of them. The list of IMPAR State Coordinators is as under:

IMPAR held a few State Councils meetings online and offline to address community concerns in the respective states and drawing out possible solutions. State Councils Guidelines and Working Protocol were also shared.

Dr. M.J. Khan led the constitution of IMPAR Global Council in terms of providing unique experiences, global connect and support for IMPAR to deliver on its objectives. There was a realisation that the NRI Muslims were equally concerned about the situation of the community and committed to support leading to the constitution of 17 member IMPAR Global Council. IMPAR has completed its six months successfully. The journey has been very eventful and the organisation delivered in many areas with a sense of urgency. The organisation grew at a very fast pace with efficacious organisational capabilities and the contribution of all the members of Steering Committee, Executive Committee, various Councils of IMPAR and functional groups members. We have to plug along in terms of delivery, direction and credibility and work on finding long term solutions and be a ray of hope to navigate the community to the path of reforms and progress. We hope to further accelerate the speed of output and delivery in the months to come. Hope, our collective efforts make some difference to the situation of our community.
