Dancer’s Diary

Dancer’s Diary is a colourful and exciting collaboration of dance, live music, acting, and film . The show follows the dancers two-year journeys and experiences at Leicester College .

Throughout this show we learn about the dancer, and share in their personal experiences of gruelling auditions, the making of new friends, pressures of exams, mischievous moments and the overcoming of challenges, until they finally graduate with confidence, hope and many unforgettable memories .

The show is physically engaging, witty and emotional and has worked in collaboration with the Level 3 live band Kosmic Debris and Foundation Degree photography and film learners .

The Crucible By arthur Miller

The Crucible is a powerful play based on the real-life witch trials and hangings in the small rural community of Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 .

The play is not only about redemption and salvation but also the damage that can be inflicted by unbending righteousness untempered by humanity . The play reflects the vicious and destructive anti-communist witch hunt pursued by Senator Joseph McCarthy, Chairman of the Un- activities Committee, in the middle of the last century .

Many of Miller’s friends and colleagues in the arts had their lives and livelihoods destroyed by the question

“are you, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?” The only way to be truly safe once questioned by the Committee was to implicate others .

This is an avalanche of a play . Once the initial lies have been told there is no avoiding the final catastrophic consequences .
