LEAD
Building upon the Legacy?• Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland School Sport Association (Inspire2) – the
collective voice for special educational needs students in education. Current membership includes all special schools in Leicester City and Leicestershire County.
• Inspire to Lead (Leicestershire Buddies) – is a fully constituted organisation and is made-up of a membership of 45 disabled people who are volunteers, coaches and officials working in sport from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
• Disability Officers Forum (Community) – open to any community agency working with disabled people to promote physical education, physical activity and sport.
• Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport including the Leicester Sports Partnership Trust –
as the two overarching agencies who are representative of the voluntary and statutory sectors involved in PE, Physical Activity and Sport.
• Co-opted members –representing the host agency for the association (Ellesmere College), the English Federation of Disability Sport – East Midlands (representing the regional and national disability sport organisations), and representation from a disability sport and the local community.

• Ambassadors – helping to promote a healthy, active lifestyle

Inclusive Sport fund
Disabled people in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland will have more opportunities to get involved in sport after Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS), in conjunction with the Leicester-Shire & Rutland Inclusive Sports Association (LARISA), received £270,000 (£90,000 per year)of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Inclusive Sport fund.
