amt_project Gallery, Bratislava, SlovakiaThe exhibition Re: Photography is a reflexion of photographic media which touches, inter alia, of simulation problems and tampering the photography. Lukačovičová rivets attention to illusory and in principal non-ma-terial nature of digitally produced picture surrounding us at every moment. She sharpens her and our view at the Photography itself and at its artistic context, too. She steps out the photography landscape at the same moment (in line with declared direction of her atelier) into the space of object and installation. She considers, resp. ties to consideration not only about destabilized photo position as a confident media but also about its mass, industrial diffusion and commercial photographic practice, of which it is and wants or does not want to be as an integral part. Notice Board / 2016Symposium HaLa 2016, Trenčín, Slovakia

noticeboard is an information desk oriented to information presentation, messaging either publication or propaganda. During communism notice board was a part of a daily life (at the working places, especially – in offices, at the halls work-rooms etc.). at the factory – garment factory Merina in Trencin, there were a few of notice board-ers. The notice board was a mirror of a current anniversary or course of events; its content was about call words, and these notice boards were subject of evaluation and awards. During symposium in Hall/HaLa (2016) i created similar notice board, especially with the photos of artists who had worked there alike as in the past.

Grey Book I. / 2016Galéria Jána koniarka, Synagogue - Center of Contemporary art

The photographer Lenka Lukačovičová presents her long-term project named Grey Book in the Synagogue - Center of Contemporary art, in which she develops two main mutually blending factors: on one hand, it is the topic of female political prisoners in the era of Socialism in Czechoslovakia, on the other, it is a play with the medium of photography and exploration of its borders. Red book / 2016nitrianska galéria, Galéria mladých, nitra

The Red Book exhibition by the photographer Lenka Lukačovičová is a follow-up to her long-term project called The Grey Book. The project consists of two basic compo-nents. The first one is the theme of politically persecuted women during the socialist regime in Czechoslovakia. The other one is photography which is used in different ways using various techniques. The main theme of the nitra Gallery exhibition is prisons. They represent a part of the country, our society and a space which divides the prisoners from “normal life”. The prisons are premises with a unique visual quality. and finally, they also represent places which are full of stories of their occupants. The theme became a part of the artist’s research when she became interested in the stories of women prisoners from 1950s to 1970s. The viewers are not presented with detailed life dramas of the convicts. The artist rather uses their portraits and original documents which are open to interpretation. They can be viewed as a silent reminder of the historical period or as something to think about when it comes to the present day. Simona Bérešová

EX:posed / 2016The whole project is based on artistic collaboration. My work ex:posed asks the questions related to authorship and poses the questions who is who in the collaborative art projects. it is shown at the cyanotypes where participants hair of the participants is exposed. The role of artistic authorship is deleted (exposed and washed) and on the paper there are just light and hair shadows.

L(PA)POSITIVE, 2017The work concentrates on the photography voyeurism and performance and it’s transformation into objects. it asks the questions about that, what is performance and how the photographer can see it. all the situations happened during the residency in Leipzig and are connected directly to some places or points. We also can call them “few minutes sculptures” which were made with my analogue camera by myself with long exposure shutter release. i present an investigation of boundaries between mundane acts and performativity, as well as the ways in which photographic medium can provoke an ongoing negotiation, rather than a fixed state.

RE:action /RE: (per)formance / RE: activationProject Re:action / Re:(per)formance / Re:activation / Recreation by Lenka L. Lukačovičová is neither performance nor photography, it is photography for performance or performance only for photography where the only condition is the pressing the trigger. This is a long-term project of this artist, a series of interpretations of notable action artists (non-photographers and one photographer) – Rudo Sikora, Ľubomír Ďurček, vladimír kordoš and Ľubo Stacho from the 1970’s and 80’s in Slovakia. Her Re-interpretations are also a Re-action to some breakthrough social phenomena or social situations we meet every day and are characteristic to our society as if some symptoms emerge again and again. a similar model of variation with the use of repetition is characteristic to contemporary visual art and culture where it is presented within the whole scale of variation methods, remake, remix, repetition, recombination etc. and is often linked to contemporary symptoms of post-production.
