enhance performance while add-ing volume above the water to expand interior volume in the sleep-ing cabins. The 38 has an innovative cock-pit design with a built-in hard top that has a cutout to starboard so the helmsman can stand up to see both bows when docking. All of the sheets run to a winch at the helm so one person can steer and trim at the same time; this is useful for couples cruising without crew. The main traveler runs across the hard top with the control lines also eas-ily accessible to the person at the helm. The 38 has a three-cabin own-er’s plan in which the master suite takes up the entire starboard hull. This space can be closed off for privacy with a sliding door. The port hull has two double cabins that share a central head and shower. An optional four-cabin version has two double cabins in each hull. The saloon offers a huge U-shaped dinette forward that stretches the width of the cabin. The small gal-ley to port is also U-shaped and has a good amount of counter space, storage lockers, a two burner stove-oven and a large stainless steel sink. The interior fit and finish of the new Leopard 38 is the high qual-ity we have come to expect from Robertson & Caine. The fiberglass moldings are impeccable. The interior furniture and bulkheads are varnished cherry veneers and fitted with top-of-the line hardware. Each cabin has plenty of storage for per-sonal items and clothing. The new 38 packs a huge amount of comfort and style into a fairly small package. The boat will sail well and will be easy to handle around the docks. A great family cruiser, the Leopard 38 will be the boat for couples looking for a blue water cat they can handle without crew.
