Dear Supporter:
We are very excited to be planning the 16th Annual Fundraising Auction for Lowry Elementary School as the neighborhood celebrates its Silver Anniversary. Lowry Elementary School is one of 95 elementary schools in Denver Public schools and currently there are 520 children enrolled. Some things you may not know about Lowry Elementary School:
• 60.8 % of Lowry students identify as a minority
• 52.3% of Lowry students are on free or reduced lunches.
• 17.9% of students are English Language learners
• 8.8% of students are in special education
To support our school and community, we are having our fundraising event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in our neighboring Stapleton community of Denver on March 7, 2020. This is the school’s largest fundraiser of the year and includes a silent auction, live auction and paddle raise. Our fundraising goal from this event is to raise $80,000!
I am contacting you to respectfully request your support by becoming a sponsor for Lowry Elementary School.
Why you should be a Sponsor:
Lowry celebrates its diverse students and community and raising additional funds for the school helps provide many amazing initiatives for all students. The success of our school is largely due to donations and support from parents and community sponsors. By becoming a sponsor, your contributions will provide invaluable support, including academic resources, curriculum support, school community activities, and staffing at the school. Attached is an article about a wonderful event, Cotillion, that the PTO sponsors for the school, and the impact it has on the students and community.
Other examples of how your sponsorship dollars will be used for the Kids at Lowry Elementary:
1. $20,000 or more is needed to support the Aviator fund to provide adequate staffing for lower student/teacher
ratios in the classroom.
2. $20,000 is needed for student and family activities, including musical theater, science fair, and enrichment
programs. This includes scholarships, so all students can be involved!
3. $14,000 to support Teacher Appreciation, Curriculum Support, Classroom materials, & more.
4. $10,000 helps the PTO to cover the costs of the event on March 7, 2020 so every dime we raise goes back to the
school.
Any amount that you can contribute will help our school and is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for considering our request.
