20’’ Reading -Warm up -Warm up/Speaking -Matching activity: match the headlines -Reading comprehension (4 minutes)

The T shows pictures of Australia, and elicits names of famous sights. Ask SS “What kind of questions do you have to ask yourself before going on such a big trip to Australia? What do you have to think of before you leave?”. SS brainstorm in pairs (SS-SS). The T then elicits some responses from SS (SS-T). SS are given two texts with missing headines (questions) that they need to match in small groups (SS-SS), a “student A” text and a “student B” text. Checking is done in plenary. (SS-T). Student As and student Bs swap texts. They ask their partners the questions which are on their texts and get answers about the text from their partners.
