On the day that Stephen was stoned to death, the Jewish leaders started looking for Christians to hurt them. One of the

people looking for Christians was a man called Saul. He got a letter to go and arrest Jesus’ followers in Damascus. On his way, Jesus met Saul through a bright flash of light and a voice. Jesus changed Saul and at the end, Saul started telling people about Jesus instead of arresting

Jesus’ followers.

Saul hated Jesus’ people, but Jesus met him on the road to Damascus and changed his heart forever. Jesus changed Saul so much that Saul now wanted to tell others that Jesus is the son of God. Days before that, Paul would have put people in prison for saying that.

Jesus changed Saul who hated Jesus and Christians. Jesus can change anyone he chooses, no matter what they’ve done wrong. When they repent and trust in Jesus, they can be used by him.

The same Jesus who changed Saul is the one who changes us today, by the power of the Holy Spirit. He helps us to believe and trust in him, and to be good. He forgave Saul and gave him the Holy Spirit. Do you need to ask Jesus to change you or someone else? Go ahead and ask him.
