Presentation (8 12 minutes)a. Teacher introduces the topic Stay Healthy.

b. Teacher shows some pictures related to the topic.(Refer appendix 2)

c. Teacher asks pupils to guess the behaviour shown in the pictures.(refer appendix 3)

d) Teacher asks pupils whether they know how to wash their hands properly.

e) Teacher shows the proper example on how to wash hands/ brush teeth.

f) Teachers asks pupils to follow the actions shown on the picture

Questions that can be asked by teacher :1. What is the action of this boy/girl?2. Do you know how to wash your hand properly?3. What do you use to wash your hand/brush your teeth?4. Why we must wash our hands before meal/brush teeth?5. Did you brush your teeth after meals/before sleep?6. Can you show me how to wash your hands/brush your teeth?

Practice (10 20 minutes)a. Teacher introduces the class to the 5 steps to clean hands.

b. Teacher explains the important 5 steps to clean hands by drawing mind-map on the white board.

c) Pupils will have to answers some questions asks by teacher.

d) While explaining, teacher shows the action of each steps.

e) Pupils will be asked to follow step by step.

f) Teacher may randomly call few pupils to demonstrate the whole step to the class.

Explain the importance of each of the 5 steps to clean hands:1. Wet your hands with water2. Apply soap and rub together3. Wash your hands, the fronts and backs4. Rinse your hands5. Dry your handsDont forget: clean both of your wrists, clean between your fingers and clean thumbs

Teacher may first demonstrate the whole actions according to the steps.

Yes/No questions & WH-Questions:1. Can you show me your right hand/left hand?2. What is the first step to wash your hands?3. What do you use to wash you hands?4. Can we use toothpaste to wash our hands?5. What do we need to wipe our wet hands?6. Why do we need to use soap?

*use flow map to show the steps to wash hands properly.

*use the hand soap to explain the steps.

Production(10 - 18 minutes)a) Teacher asks pupils to look at text book page 71.

b) Teacher then asks pupils to read after teacher and follow the tune.

c) Teacher teaches line by line on how to recite the lyric.

d) Pupils will be divide into smaller group.

e) Ask group bu group to recite the lyric.

f) Pupils may have small competition to determine which group will recite better.

Teacher guide pupils until they get the right tune before proceed to divide the into smaller groups.

Teacher may repeat reciting the whole lyric first before asking pupils to recite on their on.

Teacher may also lead them to recite the lyric with the proper pronunciation of certain words (brush, wash, meals, soap, teeth)*adapted the lyric into simpler tune

*improvised the way to recite the lyric

Closure (5minutes)a. Recap the important steps to wash hands

b. Re-show the realia and asks pupils to name and state the usage

c. Teacher tells the moral of the topic - Keep clean.

d. Ask pupils to tidy up the sitting place and get back to their own sit.Moral of the topic:Always make sure you wash your hands before and after meals/ brush your teeth early in the morning and before sleep.To sum up the session.
