The Sculpture Gallery and The Woburn Hotel are licenced to host your civil ceremony. Choose The Sculpture Gallery for up to 250 guests, the Long Harness Room at The Sculpture Gallery for up to 70 guests, the Covent Garden Room at The Woburn Hotel for up to 25 guests or the Canaletto Suite at The Woburn Hotel for up to 60 guests.

Couples can hold their reception at the same venue they have made their vows at or at one of the other Woburn venues, including The Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park, which is not licenced for civil ceremonies.

The Woburn Abbey Gardens provide a stunning and truly historical backdrop for wedding photography. 2010 was the 200th anniversary of the completion of Humphry Repton’s plans for the gardens at Woburn Abbey and they provide a magnificent year round backdrop for photographs. The Chinese Dairy, The Folly,The Bog Garden and the magnificent 350 year old Cedar of Lebanon at South Court are just a fewof the garden’s highlights.

The Sculpture Gallery offers an elegant setting for weddings. It was originally constructed by Henry Holland during 1789 and 1790 for the fifth Duke of Bedford as an orangery but was increasingly used to display his collection of sculptures. Some of the original sculptures, The Lante Vase in the central niche and a full sized copy of Apollo Belvederein the rotunda, can still be seen. Later additions includeThe Temple of Liberty which was modelled on the ionic Temple of llissus and the Camellia House.

The grand interior has a wonderful ambiance of calm and tranquillity where couples can hold their civil ceremony followed by a reception for up to 250 guests. Two smaller adjoining rooms, The Lantern Room and Long Harness Room are available as additional reception areas.

The Sculpture Gallery is set in its own private gardens overlooking the Camellia House Lake, whilst the terrace and rose garden also provide a magnificent backdrop for photographs.

Civil ceremonies for a maximum of 60 guests can take place in the Canaletto Suite or 25 guests in the Covent Garden Room. With its friendly ambience, the hotel is renowned for its cuisine. Wedding receptions can be held at The Woburn Hotel for a maximum of 80 guests. Award winning Executive Chef, Olivier Bertho and his team have created a tempting range of wedding menus including the sumptuous gourmetwedding breakfast.

The large veranda boasts stunning views of Desert Springs and Swan Lake; providing the perfect relaxed atmosphere for a champagne reception.
