What kind of religious practices should we begin, once we marry, to help us practice our faith each day? Your spiritual life as a couple is important. The sacrament of Marriage is a gift and a grace, but living it well isn’t always easy! It requires intentionality and perseverance. Growing your spiritual life as a couple also requires a plan. Life can be incredibly busy. There’s never “enough time” for everything we want to do. But we can live by our priorities. If we don’t prioritize prayer, we’ll find it slowly disappear from our lives. If you’re not already praying individually, that’s a good place to start. If your schedules are similar, take some quiet time at the same time to help hold each other accountable. Praying together is also important! You could start by looking at the religious practices of your family and of families around you that you respect. Talk with your spouse about the ones who make the deepest impression on you or were most meaningful when you were young. Think about what you want your future children to experience. Making faith a commitment now will mean it is engrained habit when you grow your family. Ultimately, these faith practices should help us grow in our love for God and for one another. ¿Qué tipo de prácticas religiosas debemos comenzar, una vez que nos casemos, para ayudarnos a practicar nuestra fe cada día? Tu vida espiritual como pareja es importante. El sacramento del matrimonio es un regalo y una gracia, ¡pero vivirlo bien no siempre es fácil! Requiere intencionalidad y perseverancia. Hacer crecer tu vida espiritual como pareja también requiere un plan. La vida puede ser increíblemente ocupada. Nunca hay "tiempo suficiente" para todo lo que queremos hacer. Pero podemos vivir según nuestras prioridades. Si no priorizamos la oración, la veremos desaparecer lentamente de nuestras vidas Si aún no está rezando individualmente, es un buen lugar para comenzar. Si sus horarios son similares, ambos tomen un tiempo de silencio al mismo tiempo para ayudar a responsabilizarse mutuamente. ¡Orar juntos también es importante! Podrías comenzar observando las prácticas religiosas de tu familia y de las familias a tu alrededor que respetas. VOCATIONS PRAYER/ORACIÓN DE VOCACIONES
O loving and gracious God, Father of all, you bless your people in every time and season and provide for their needs through your providential
care. Your Church is continually in need of priests, sisters and brothers to offer themselves in the service
of the gospel by lives of dedicated love. Open the hearts of your sons and daughters to listen to your
call in their lives. Give them the gift of understanding to discern your invitation to serve you and your
Church. Give them the gift of courage to follow your call. May they have the spirit of young Samuel who
found fulfillment in his life when he said to you, "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening." We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.
Amen.
Oh Dios amoroso y misericordioso, Padre de todos, tú bendiga a su gente en todo momento y estación y
satisfacer sus necesidades a través de su providencial cuidado. Su Iglesia necesita continuamente sacerdotes,
hermanas y hermanos para ofrecerse en el servicio del evangelio por vidas de amor dedicado. Abre el
corazones de tus hijos e hijas para escuchar tu llamar en sus vidas. Dales el don de entender
para discernir su invitación para servirle a usted y a su Iglesia. Dales el valor de seguir tu
llamada. Que tengan el espíritu del joven Samuel que encontró satisfacción en su vida cuando te dijo:
"Habla Señor, porque tu siervo está escuchando". Le pedimos esto a través de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor y Redentor.
