Sub:- In-situ promotions of LDCs and UDCs
Sir,With due respect we want to remind you once again
about the issue of in-situ promotions of LDCs and UDCs ofAdministrative Cadre working in Prasar Bharati. It is reallypathetic that even after completion of 30 years as LDCs mostof them have not got even a single promotion. While grantingin-situ promotions to programme cadres, you were kindenough to assure us that LDC / UDCs will also be given in-situ promotions. But to our surprise, when the issue of in-situpromotions of Administrative staff has come-up for discussionduring the meeting with CEO on 09.03.2016,
It was mentioned that MACP scheme and in-situpromotions cannot run concurrently. It was already clarifiedby ADASA that there will be no financial implications in theevent of granting in-situ promotions and the same wasimplemented for Programme staff without any hurdles.
There is already a strong opinion among Administrativestaff that the Administrative cadre is totally neglected inPrasar Bharati and Prasar Bharati is not taking care of theirwelfare. To wipe-out such impressions, an initiative fromPrasar Bharati is required and in-situ promotion is one ofsuch. Moreover, these initiatives, though do not have anyfinancial increase, will boost the morale and a feeling willemerge that the management is taking of their welfare.
Hence, it is requested to take necessary steps for grantof in-situ promotions to LDC / UDCs without further delay.
