Well, my favorite food city would be New Delhi, which is often called the gastronomical capital of the Indian Subcontinent. My favorite restaurant in New Delhi is ITC Bokhara, an Indian Cuisine restaurant, located in ITC Maurya, one of the premier hotels in Delhi. When I visited the restaurant, it was really clean and tidy and the ambience was very nice. I wouldn’t however deem it to be very economical, as the cost per person was around a 100 dollars. The restaurant provided us with all types of Indian food, from Mughlai to South Indian. They had good amount of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It is not a pure vegetarian restaurant, but this is the best you can get, as they have separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The food is very delicious. There are a few dishes that I would like to recommend. One of them being the ‘Bokhara Dal’ which is basically a curry made of pulses tempered with spices and condiments. This ‘Dal’ has also been enjoyed by the ex-president of the USA, Mr. Bush. Other things to try are Aloo Dum Bokhara, Keema Naan and Shahi Halwa. The restaurant is situated inside the hotel premises. The hotel is located on the main road, on the Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. You can contact them by phone @2030xxxx. You can find all other information on the internet at the restaurant’s website. The best thing about the hotel is that it is open for 24 hours, seven days a week. They have a very friendly staff, ready to help you. The chef is well known and has also won many awards around the world. The service is also excellent. The Indian restaurant was very good, although you’ll definitely end up paying a lot. It is one of those places where one must go atleast once in a lifetime.

In general I would recommend this as a complete culinary experience package, but you’ll have to be prepared to pay a large amount of money.
